Day 1594. The pictures of Sammy and Tammy are from yesterday. I just love watching Tammy play with Sammy, just the two of them, just as I love watching Emmy play with Sammy by himself. They are just so cute with him, and Sammy loves the attention and laughs and giggles the whole time. Tammy wanted to draw with Sammy, and they played Catch and Hide and Seek.

Yesterday we all stayed home for a change. I was supposed to have 3 students, but two of them canceled, so I only taught for one hour and did office work the rest of the time.

This morning Sammy was up first, as usual, then the others woke up, and eventually Randy got up to make them breakfast. Then he went downstairs with them. I've been enjoying not having to get up really early to make Sammy's snack for kindergarten. I stayed in bed and took my time getting up after having gone to bed really late. At 11:30 I went to the kitchen to start cooking. An hour later we sat down to eat. Then the kids got on their tablets to watch videos.

Sammy has really been enjoying playing with the remote control cars they all got for Christmas. But these past few days his favorite activity has been to pull himself up on the bathtub and turn the water on in the bathtub. We're less excited, as he gets all wet, and as we don't want him to accidentally turn the hot water on. But he gets VERY upset, when we take him away and keep him from playing with the water.

Randy sat down to take a nap, while I continued working and had to be the one helping Sammy as needed. When Randy got up just before 3 pm, we had very little time to get ready to leave the house and catch the 3:20 pm train. And so this was out tighest race ever to the train. We were running as much as we could, and when we got there, the train was already sitting there - and we made it.

Tammy and Emmy sat down with me. There was a man sitting behind us who was talking; I thought he was on the phone. His words were pretty bad and threatening. Then he suddenly hit the back of our seats hard. I looked and saw that he was not on the phone, and so we left immediately as it seems that he had actually threatened us.

After we got off, we took the subway for three stops and walked through the mall to church. We got there before the service had started. Some people greeted us, and we sat down in the last row. Then worship started, and Tammy and Emmy were dancing. I was dancing with them, and then also with Sammy, then sat down with Sammy. He enjoyed the Mommy-time. But he soon started asking about going to the kids' program. Eventually the teachers left the room with the kids, and we followed them.

There were only two other children there, and they were quite a bit older. The teacher was a teenager, and her Mom was there as well. They got a board game out first that our kids have already played before, and they had fun playing it again - much more than the older kids. Then they got another board game for small children out, but they had no more patience for small kid games, and so the older kids quit. Ours then stopped playing as well.

Emmy found two ropes and started playing with them. Eventually we all played with those ropes and had fun. Then it was time for the teaching. The young lady read a Bible story, and that was basically it. She had made a drawing of the Bible story and then asked the kids to do the same. Tammy was excited about that, and I ended up drawing together with her, much to her delight. Emmy soon quit and went to get the ropes.

Sammy was really cranky. He wanted the bobby cars, or the horse that you can ride. They were in the baby room that was locked. I finally left to get a key and opened up the room for Randy and Sammy. Sammy was happy. As the other two kids were fine as well, I actually went to the sanctuary and got to hear a few minutes of the preaching. I stayed until the end at 6 pm. Randy brought me Sammy, then the wheelchair, and after it was over, Sammy and I went into the lobby. After a few minutes Randy and the other two kids joined us. Nobody really talked to us - only our friend played with the kids for a few minutes. Then we left to go home.

We crossed the mall and walked to the subway. It arrived quickly, and it was a new train. At the train station the kids needed to go to the bathroom, then we went to the train platform. The previous train was delayed and arrived just after we got there. By 7:20 pm we were back home. I warmed up some leftovers for the kids, then they ate fruit in the bathtub. We got them ready for bed, read two Bible stories, I brushed their teeth, prayed for them, and put them to bed. It was much later than usual. I did lie down with them for a few minutes, then went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. Emmy still stayed with his sister, but it only kept them up, and so I asked Emmy to go to his own bed. It was just after 9 pm after all.

After having eaten, I went back to work. Now it's 1:30 am and time to go to bed.
