HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1548. The kids were doing learning apps on their tablets, while I was trying to get work done on the computer, but they constantly needed my help, so I didn't get very far. At least they were learning something and having fun; even Emmy enjoyed learning that way.
We ate lunch at 12:45, when Randy and Sammy returned from the kindergarten. At 1:30 pm is their nap time, but I didn't have time to sit or lie down with them today, as I had a 2:40 pm student and still had lots of preparations to do, including for leaving the house right after. And so Randy sat down with them. It looked like another disaster of no one sleeping. Randy even had to hold Sammy down. Surprisingly they all fell asleep eventually.
I was pretty tired myself, but was really busy. I taught until 3:30 pm, then we dressed all the kids and all left the house together at 3:45 pm. We took two subways, then walked to the iceskating rink, where they were about to have their second ice-skating session. And we had made some improvements since last week. First, instead of Sammy crying for 3 hours because he was alone with Daddy, we all now had a card to access the premises. We went in and went to the changing rooms to put their iceskating shoes on. And this time they had the right shoes after I had bought them on Amazon this past week. And I was thankful for Randy to be there as well, so that it went faster to put their shoes and gloves on.
Then we walked to where the classes were taking place and looked for their two teachers who have both the same name Anna. There were lots of people and lots of kids, but we found them, and the kids went on the ice to start their class. At first Tammy seemed to have a harder time than last week with her new shoes. But Emmy was doing so much greater; his old shoes had been hockey shoes which is so much harder to learn with. Today he was on his feet for much of the time, as it was easier to stand with those shoes. Both of them were doing really well. They were mostly walking on the ice, while doing different arm movements. They also had to pick up and carry cones from one place to the other.
Randy, Sammy and I were standing right on the other side of the wall, behind a net. Sammy wanted to be with me, so I had him for much of the time. He had his tablet with him to listen to kids' songs. The class was a long 80 minutes, and Sammy was not always happy. At least it wasn't too cold yet.
Emmy was doing better than last week regarding participation. He didn't stay on the ground as much, and only once came to take break, plus another time for a potty break. They all had a break at the same time as well, after 45 minutes, and the kids watched a lady dance on the ice briefly.
Once the class was over, we returned to the changing room and put their regular shoes back on. Then we left to take the subway home. By 6:45 pm we were back home, and I immediately went to the kitchen to make their dinner. I was glad, when I found out, that my 8 pm student wanted to move the lesson to tomorrow night, but I still had a 9:30 pm lesson to teach. I was extremely tired and lay down for a few minutes before that lesson. Teaching late always means that everything moves to later, and so it was 1:30 am before I made it to bed.
