HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1547. Every two or three weeks the kids have swim class on Sunday morning, and it was that day again. We had to take the 9:20 train to make it in time for the 10 am class. Emmy took Max, the mascot from their exercise class, with him so we'd have some pictures to put into his travel journal that he takes from kid to kid, going to another kid every week.
The swim class lasts for half an hour. As soon as we got into the pool, Tammy and Emmy started diving and jumping and having fun. What a difference to before the summer, when Emmy did not want to put his head under water! Our kids are now the best students in this swim class, and I was glad that the teacher briefly showed everyone how to move their arms correctly. Finally!
After class we stayed in the water for a while to have fun, but it felt colder than usual, and so Sammy did not have as much fun as usual. He wa cold and wanted to leave, so we did not stay as long as last time. We got dressed - the kids enjoying the hairdryer mounted on the wall - and left.
We took the subway for four stops, but instead of going the McDonald's right there, we went to Burger King, which was also there, as McDonald's still had the same books in their Happy Meals that we already have several copies of. The kids were really excited about the Burger King toys, as they were Paw Patrol. The food, however, was not good and a lot more expensive than McDonald's. I have no desire to go back there. The kids also enjoyed the crowns lying on all the tables, and even the mascot got one for the pictures.
After we were done eating, we took the tram to the train and the train home, where we arrived at 12:45. I was so tired and still needed to get the French translation of our newsletter done and sent out, so that we did not leave the house again the rest of the day.
On Monday I could only get Tammy to sleep at nap time. It was after 2:45 pm, when the Mobile Support lady arrived to play with Sammy. At 3:25 pm I started teaching to finish by 4:15, which was also the time we needed to leave the house. The five of us left together and took the 4:32 train, then the subway, then walked the rest of the way to the school. At 3 pm the kids' music class started. Emmy had told me that he'd behave well that day, and he did a lot better. There's only one more class left, and I'm glad, as it was not a very beneficial class, especially compared to the previous teacher.
Since Sammy hadn't slept, he was once again very quiet and didn't participate much. About 10 minutes before the end I left the class with him and took him to the library, as he wanted to look at books. And so we had fun doing that, until Randy and the other kids arrived. We stayed a few more minutes and then left to go home.
We had to ride the subway for one stop to get to the train, and whenever we can, we let an old train go and take the next train, if it's new, as Sammy wants to ride the new trains. This time we were surprised, when the train arrived. I had heard about the newest train in the fleet and that there was only one of them that was running on the line that we were taking. It's been running for months, and the time had finally come for us to meet it for the first time. It was pretty cool to ride it. The future is here!
And before I forget it: I was sitting next to Sammy who was lying in his bed, when he suddenly said "Ich lieb dich." It's the first time ever I've heard him say, "I love you", and it's also a sentence with three words!
