HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1536. On Tuesday we didn't go anywhere; of course except for Sammy going to kindergarten. In the afternoon I taught four hours in a row, which is long, and then I had my 9:30 pm student.
Wednesday was not typical, as Sammy alone had an eye appointment in the afternoon. The eye doctor had given him an appointment with another doctor who comes into her office every Wednesday. As the other two kids had their weekly exercise class just before 4 pm, Randy had to take them there by himself for the first time, while Sammy and I took the bus to go to the nearby doctor's office. They always send me pictures and a report after class. They've been working on running, throwing and team work.
Sammy and I got to the doctor's office 15 minutes early. Sammy had been concerned about this visit, but I kept telling him there'd be no pain, just the doctor looking at his eyes and asking him questions. We had to wait only very briefly until we were called in. It was a man, and he was really nice, contrary to the regular doctor there. He had Sammy look at a little light and follow it, and gave him a card with four different symbols. He was able to name 2 of them, but was not able to say which symbol the doctor was holding up. He gave us a copy of the four symbols so he can learn them at home. Then he sent us home. I'm not sure what good this visit did. He told us to come back again in a few months, when the others have to come too and get eyedrops before their eye exam. We had been so fast that we were back home an hour after leaving and before Randy and the other kids.
This morning Sammy went to kindergarten like every other day of this week, while I did school with Tammy and Emmy again. Tammy loves it and Emmy cries, when I just mention doing school. Today they did the letter "s", Sammy's letter, after having done their own initial letters.
Sammy came home just before 1 pm, and then we sat down to eat. Because we ate so late, it was closer to 2 pm today before they lay down for their nap. And then only Tammy fell asleep; I could not get the boys to sleep and finally gave up. Randy then got up and ended up going downstairs with them.
I finally got to fall asleep and was woken up by my alarm clock at 3:45 pm. I had to get ready for my 4 pm class. I was surprised to still find Tammy sleeping, and finally got her to get up just before 4 pm. Then I had my student until 5 pm. It wasn't long before Randy and the kids came back upstairs. When Sammy does not have his nap, he's very cranky the rest of the day, making everything harder. I didn't get much done in the next hour until it was time to go to the kitchen to make their dinner. Sammy constantly needed my attention, and Emmy still had school papers from the morning left to finish.
By 8:30 pm they were all in bed; Sammy had once again fallen asleep before I was done reading the Bible stories. Randy then took the seat, while I got something to eat and then started preparing for my 9:30 pm class. And because of this late class, the evening ends up being a lot longer, and so it's nearly 2 am now.
