HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1823. It was another early morning. Randy took the boys to take Emmy to his soccer camp, while I took Tammy to her dance camp. Once again she wanted me to stay until the program started, so I sat on the couch with her. When the teacher called them to the dance hall, I went with her. But I stayed standing by the wall by the entrance, while she sat down in a circle with everone else. The teachers then did the roll call and explained what the first game was. I signed to her whether I could leave, and she nodded. Then we waved at each, and I left.
I went straight home and sat down at the computer to get ready for my 10 am student. Randy and Sammy were already home. I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open, but teaching invigorates me. I taught until noon, then I warmed up leftovers for us to eat. I did not have much free time, as I had my next student at 1 pm. I lay down until then, but didn't get to sleep. I taught until 2 pm, then Christine arrived for her last day helping us. Sammy was clinging to us again and did not want to go downstairs with Christine. Eventually I carried him downstairs, where Christine let him cut paper by himself. It wasn't easy for him, but he enjoyed the opportunity. After a few pictures, I left them, and Sammy was fine by himself with Christine.
Randy was resting upstairs, and I also lay down. I was planning for a nap, but I've been coughing, which kept me awake. At 3:15 pm I got up and got ready to leave the house, even though it was still early. Randy was going to leave a few minutes after me to go pick up Tammy, while Christine was going to stay home with Sammy. However, Sammy did not want to let go of Randy, and in the end, Randy took Sammy with him to go pick up Tammy. And so Christine was alone in our house for an hour and cleaned the house to make use of the time.
I took my scooter with me, rode the subway for one stop and then the bus for one stop, then had the long walk to the police soccer field. I was glad I had my scooter. I got there early and sat down in the bleachers to watch Emmy play. He was with his team of the youngest players, and they were all standing in a goal. Emmy was holding some balls, but he also shot a few. I enjoyed watching him play. Then all the kids sat down in the bleachers, and the main trainer talked to them and to the parents. Then Day 4 of the soccer camp was over. We went to the locker room and packed up Emmy's stuff and left to go home.
Randy had just gotten home with the other two kids, and so everyone was upstairs. I was glad I didn't have any more students. Sammy and Tammy wanted to go into the sand pit, and since it was Christine's last day and Randy doesn't like them going into the sand, they went for it. As for Emmy, he played soccer with Christine.
At 6 pm Christine left, but we'll see her one more time at the kids' birthday party on Sunday. I then got their food ready, which started our evening routine.
When it was time for their bedtime story, and I had already put Sammy to bed, we still had to take care of something. Tammy has her dance performance tomorrow, and she needs to bring two outfits for it - a black and white one, and her favorite animal. As that is a unicorn right now, I knew I had to give her another birthday present early. Thankfully I knew which gift that was and handed it to her. She unwrapped it and found a unicorn dress in it that she put on right away. Now she could dress as a unicorn tomorrow. Then I gave her a unicorn cape and mask to complete her disguise. She was very happy about it.
