Day 1772. This morning Sammy was up early, and then Emmy was up as well, while Tammy slept longer next to me. Eventually she also got up, and I also did not stay in bed long at all today, as we had to pack. And so I got right to it, packing up our suitcases and everything else. By 10 we were done, and Randy had loaded everything into the car. We said good-bye to the landlord who gave the kids a toy car each and loaded the kids into the car. By 10:30 we were actually on the road.

Because the tunnel from Vorarlberg to Tyrol was closed, we had to go through Germany again, which was a huge detour. It was about four hours to Salzburg, going through Munich, and then two hours south to Klagenfurt, so nearly as long and far as what we did the first day. In addition, we did not have internet in the car while in Germany, which was nearly 4 hours, which made Sammy cry as he wanted to listen to his children's songs that he needs the internet for. And so he cried and cried, when there was no internet, but never went to sleep. The other two have stuff on their tablets they can do without internet, but Sammy was tired of those same old songs.

The other two never slept either, staying busy on their tablets. When Sammy had been upset for aa while, plus it was time to have lunch, I looked on my phone to see where we could stop and saw a holocaust memorial along our route and found a nice-sounding restaurant close to there. And so we got off the interstate and started going down a country road to the memorial. However, when we got there (on the map), we didn't see anything, no entrance or parking. I had already read that it was usually closed, but that you could still see stuff looking in. There had been a concentration camp there. In any case, we kept driving, giving up on it.

Instead we continued driving to the restaurant I had found online. People liked the typically German food, and I saw a picture of a playground. We parked there just after noon and went inside. The restaurant looked nice, especially the nook we found, where they had all kinds of children's books. We sat down and ordered. We had an amazing view of a really high climbing hall that only a big window separated us from, and then some people were actually climbing all the way to the top, which the kids enjoyed watching. The guy had told us that there was also an indoor playground, and so I took the kids there. Again, I was absolutely amazed at how big and amazing it was! Randy then went there with Sammy as well, while I stayed at the table to wait for the food and then called them once it had arrived. It had not taken very long, and it looked amazing. We had a local speciality that was different than I had expected, plus chicken strips and sweet potato fries and regular fries, plus an Austrian dessert. Everybody enjoyed the meal, but they were eager to return to the playground. We paid and all went there.

There was a lot to do there, including a small climbing well that they climbed up on quickly. Through a window I saw another climbing hall nextdoors, and Tammy agreed to go check it out with me. Emmy did not want to.

It was really huge, and the floor was actually very soft, like big, air-filled mats. There were no people working there, just children and teenagers having fun, plus a few older people. Tammy started climbing up and down walls. I kept her from going too high, as she had no rope, and as I had no way of getting her down should she not be able to get down herself. I was really impressed with how well we did.

She had done many different walls, when we decided it was time to go back to the playground, where the others were. However, suddenly Randy and the kids were right there. Emmy climbed up a few walls, while Randy put Sammy in a cleft. Then we left. It was nearly 2 pm, so we had spent nearly 2 hours there, but it was the best place we'd ever stopped at while driving. It's called "The Kletterei", and the restaurant "Edelweiß".

We continued driving in the direction of Austria, and Sammy was overjoyed, when we were back in our country and I could turn my phone's hotspot back on, so he could listen to his children's songs. We went through the mountains and through tunnels and finally reached lake Wörthersee. We still had to drive to the other end of it. Sammy was ready for us to arrive. Just before 6:30 pm we finally arrived at our next Airbnb in the center of Klagenfurt.

The landlord was already on the sidewalk waiting for us. Randy parked the car in front of the house, then I quickly went inside with the kids to run to the bathroom. The man showed us around in the nice, little apartment, while Randy unloaded the car. The kids got really excited, when they saw the little kids' room with a bunkbed in it. Emmy got even more excited, when he saw all the dinosaurs in the box with toys. We said good-bye to the man, and then we were on our own.

Randy was really exhausted from driving all day. I got the kids some food for dinner using what we still had. They were having a good time. Then it was time to get them into the shower and ready for bed. I still read Tammy and Emmy a story, then I prayed for them all and put them to bed. I had moved the mattress from the bottom bunk to the floor, and the boys were gonna sleep there. Tammy was excited to be sleeping on top. Randy sat down with them and got his own nap in, while I turned my computer on to work on the pictures on blog. Later Randy joined me on the couch and continued his nap. That is until 11 pm, when Emmy came, asked for something to drink and went back to bed. Then Randy went to bed, and a few minutes later Emmy returned and lay down next to him in my bed. Now it's 12:30 am, and I'll do a few more things before going to bed.
