Day 1767. Even though they had gone to bed really late last night, Sammy was up at 6:30 am and then Emmy was up as well. Tammy stayed in bed longer. She'd been pretty hot during the night, sleeping between us during the second half of the night. At some point Randy got up to make them breakfast, as Emmy was hollering for food. When Tammy and I eventually got up, she didn't eat anything at first, but then did have a yoghurt. She ate very little all day, as she still had quite a fever unless I gave her some fever-lower sirup, which I did twice. After she had the sirup in the morning, she felt fine and was upbeat and her usual self, playing with her siblings. But once it wore off, she was really hot again and lay on the couch for much of the afternoon.
I had also woken up with quite the headache in the morning and wasn't feeling so well. Both of us also needed some sleep, but Emmy simply won't ever let me sleep. Three times he woke me up just as I was going to sleep, and one of those times he also woke Tammy up.
We had canceled our lunch appointment, but our friend was so nice to bring us some food for lunch. That way we could eat at the house. I had worship going for most of the day, praying and preparing for the evening. Randy went to the grocery store at some point, so we'd have some food. At 5:15 pm Tammy and I lay down in my bed, and she was soon asleep. We should have done that much earlier. I didn't sleep but got up after a few minutes to get ready. At 5:45 Tammy was woken up, and I started getting them all dressed and ready for the meeting.
We were all in the car and ready to go before 6:15 pm, which is when our friend was gonna come to show us the way to church. They were on time, and we followed them. At the church, we got out of the car, greeted our friends, and carried everything up to the sanctuary. It was 6:30 pm, so half an hour before the service was to begin. Only the pastor was there, getting everything ready. It was good to see him again. I then set up our Mali table. Time went by fast, and so it was already time for the meeting to start.
We were sitting in the first row. I had Sammy at first, then sat him on the floor. He was really enjoying the music and clapping from the start. Tammy and Emmy were sitting in their chairs or on the floor at first. Then Tammy asked whether she could go get a flag, and then all three had flags they were waving and were enjoying them. It was great to see them so active in worship. Randy and I were enjoying worshipping God. At some point the kids stopped and wanted to draw. They found some paper, and someone from the church then brought them a box of crayons. And so they sat in the back and started drawing. Sammy then joined them there, so all three were drawing.
After worship was over, it was my turn. I showed the video presenting the ministry, then took the mic to speak. Randy was already in the back with the kids. I then shared testimonies and preached, telling lots of stories and sharing some pictures. We all had a good time, I believe. In the end I prayed for everyone and then invited those who wanted prayer ministry to come forward. I asked the kids to pray with me. Unfortunately nobody took any pictures, while I was praying. Tammy and Emmy didn't stay long to pray with me, though.
I prayed for the pastor's wife first, and she was healed. Later another person was healed who had the same issues. I prayed for a few more people, then I asked Randy to continue praying, so I could go to our product table and talk to people there and sell books before people left to go home. I ended up praying for people back there as well, sold a few books and had a few people sign up for our newsletter. There were a few people who'd never met us before. I enjoyed talking to everyone.
At some point most people had left, and so I started packing up our table. We said our good-byes and left. It was already 10 pm. The kids were still wide-awake, though hungry. Tammy was still feeling well; I had given her some fever-lowerig sirup before leaving for church.
Once back at the apartment, we all sat down to eat, then I got them ready for bed and put them to bed. They fell asleep quickly. Then it was time for me to work on the pictures and write my report. Now it's after 1:30 am and time for me to go to bed as well.
