HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1784. I once again enjoyed getting to sleep in once Randy took the kids downstairs. Starting tomorrow, I'll be having early mornings every day, so I needed it even more. Once I did get up, I went to the kitchen to make our soup, and once it was done, simmering on the stove, I turned my computer on to get some work done. Randy and the kids then came upstairs, and just after noon we sat down to eat.
After lunch, we all took it easy again. How nice to be able to do that. Sunday is the only day I don't teach and I enjoyed not having to watch the time as much. Randy and the kids went downstairs at some point, while I did some tidying up in the pantry as well as the kids' clothes. That's something else I don't find time for during the week.
Just after 3:30 pm I went to the kitchen to make their dinner-to-go to take with us to church. They then came upstairs, and we got everyone dressed in their church clothes. At 4:15 pm we left the house. We got on the subway and then another subway and got to church just after the service had started at 5 pm. We hadn't been there in quite a long time. The kids went straight to the front where they had streamers (that only Emmy used briefly) as well as paper and crayons. Tammy and Emmy sat down to draw, and Sammy wanted to be with me. I held him and we danced together in worship for a little bit. He was having a good time, but he's starting to get heavy. He then wanted to draw too, so I put him on the floor and ended up sitting on the floor with them. They made a lot of drawings, especially Tammy. Sammy kept saying "look" so I could see what he had drawn and praise him for it.
They stayed there until it was 5:30 pm and time for the kids' program. I was gonna stay with them so Randy could enjoy the service. However, we were told that they were all going to a nearby playground for an hour which was more suited for Randy, with Sammy being heavy now. I did go with them to the playground, though, to see where it was and what it looked like. There was no babyswing or round swing, which is what Sammy likes the most. I left them there and returned to the sanctuary.
At 6:30 Randy texted me that they were coming back, and so I went downstairs to open the door so they could take the elevator up. Then I went to the kids' room, while Randy went to the sanctuary. I found the bobby car Sammy likes so much, and we then had the greatest time playing together. Sammy was laughing and laughing and laughing. The other kids sat down at the table to do some crafts. When Randy came to tell us the service was over, I left with Sammy who was eager to see his friend Anna, while Randy stayed to wait for Tammy and Emmy to finish.
We went to the sanctuary to find Anna, and Sammy was so very happy to see her. She then took Sammy into her arms and talked with him. I then talked to another friend. At some point Randy and the other kids came too. It was getting late, and we need to leave, so at 7:15 pm we finally left the building. We walked to the subway and rode the two subways home, where we arrived just before 8 pm. It was time to get them to bed, as 8 pm is their regular bedtime. They wanted some hot chocolate, then we gave them a quick shower and got them ready for bed. Emmy was already extremely tired, crying over nothing. I put them to bed, and they all fell asleep quickly. Then I was able to finally get some food myself and sat down to eat and work on today's pictures.
