HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1782. Yesterday I had three students, today I had five. I taught three hours in a row in the morning, and by the time I was done at 1 pm, Randy and Sammy had already been back for a while, Sammy having been at kindergarten. I was pretty tired, but I went straight to warming up leftovers for lunch. By the time I was done eating, I still had an hour until my next student, and all I wanted was to lie down and close my eyes for a bit. However, Sammy was cranky, and so I got him and lay down together with him, but he never sleeps with me. He just wants actions. And so we played for a while, until he was ready to leave. Randy then went downstairs with him, and I got to close my eyes for a few minutes and even fell asleep, only to be rudely awoken a few minutes later. It was time to get up and sit down at the computer for my next student.
I taught from 2:30 to 3:30, then Randy left to go pick up Tammy and Emmy from their last day at their sports summer camp. Sammy was excited for some Mommy time. We went downstairs together. I always let Sammy go down the stairs by himself. He turns on his belly and slides down one step at the time. Once downstairs, he wanted to look at photobooks, so we sat down and looked at pictures until he'd had enough. Then he wanted to play with Alexa. While he did that, I was able to go to my desk and get some work done, frequently having to go help Sammy with something.
At 4:40 pm, Randy returned with Tammy and Emmy, and I was glad to see them. I wanted to hear everything about their day, and they started telling me. They had received a kind of "medal" for completing the week. They'd had a great week and were sad it was over. But they have two more weeks of sports camps ahead of them.
At 5 pm I had my last student of the day, then we went upstairs and I started making their dinner. They've been pretty tired these past few days after doing sports all day, especially Emmy, and Sammy also seems more tired because of the intense heat. Yesterday Emmy fell asleep next to me while I was reading their bedtime story, not so tonight. Tammy always complains about how hot she is on the top bunk, when she goes to bed, but then she falls asleep. Around midnight she moves to our bed anyway, where we have fans blowing air at us. Now it's 12:30, and I'm glad nobody has to leave the house tomorrow morning.
