Day 1778. We returned to Vienna Friday night with both boys having a fever. Tammy was already over it. Emmy threw up a few times during that night. The following night it was Sammy who threw up and whose fever had started about 48 hours after Emmy's. And so we stayed home all weekend, resting, with both boys still having a fever.

Thankfully Emmy was over it by this morning. But not Sammy, and so we canceled his horse therapy this morning. I set my alarm for 7:15 this morning, and Randy got up to make their breakfast. I had a second alarm for 7:50 am and got up to get dressed and to get the kids dressed and ready to leave the house. We did so earlier than necessary, just before 8:15 am. Sammy wanted to be a part, so it was the five of us together.

We had to walk a bit to get to the tram station, then got on the next tram to ride for 3 stops. Then it was just a little bit more walking. It all went fast, and so it was only just after 8:30, when we arrived at the school, where the kids sports' camp was taking place. It was organized by the same people, where they had been going to a sports class once a week this whole past year. I really like them and I knew that they'd love this camp. Tammy, however, was not that excited.

We walked into the building, where the registration table was set up right by the entrance. They ticked their names off, and we continued on to the locker rooms. There was one for the girls and one for the boys. They put their indoor sports shoes on and left their backpacks there. They took their bottles and put them by the entrance to the gym. There was already quite a lot of kids there, and Emmy went right in and stood to the side to watch. So did Tammy, and I went inside as well. I then wanted to say good-bye and leave, but Tammy was clinging to me and not letting me go. She was crying and did not want to let go of me and participate, even though her brother was. I sat down on the bench with her, and she continued holding on to me. I tried to leave a few times, but to no avail. One of the trainers then said I could participate for a while, and so I did. They were playing a running game, and I was running holding Tammy's hand. We had to form chains with the number of kids they were calling out, and I was one of them. Tammy was relaxing and starting to have fun. And then I took her hand and put it into the hand of the girl on my other side and ran to the door of the gym. I shut it and started walking away. Then the door suddenly opened, as they had a drinking break, and so I started running to get away before she could catch me and drag me back inside. We had made it. I have no clue why she had acted like that as that's not at all like her. Let's hope it's not going to be like that tomorrow.

The three of us took the subway back home, where I lay down for a little bit, then got ready for a lesson I was to teach at 11 am. After I was done, Randy went on a grocery store run, while I stayed home with Sammy. Then we had lunch, and I continued working on the computer and lay down for a much-needed nap. At 3:30 pm the three of us left again to go pick up Tammy and Emmy.

We got there just before 4 pm, which was the earliest time you could pick them up, and there was already a good number of parents waiting. I walked to the open door of the gym and peeked inside. I could tell that they were doing their closing ritual. They had received a sticker book, similar to the one they'd had during the year, and had received the first two stickers for running and jumping. They were both doing well and had both had lots of fun. We went to the locker rooms, so they could put their street shoes back on, and left to go home. They were talking, telling us about their day, and I was asking questions. They've been put into different teams for the week, Emmy the lions, and Tammy the kangaroos, but those teams are just for the competitions.

Just after 4:30 pm we were back home and all went downstairs. I had some scanning to do for students, so I went to my office to work. Tammy was doing some drawing, cutting and gluing. Everyone was having a good time. But Emmy was getting hungry early, and so I warmed up his leftovers much earlier than usual and let him eat it earlier. At 6 pm we then all went upstairs, and I went to the kitchen to make their dinner.
