HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1498. This morning the kids were up before the alarm went off at 7:15 am. At 8:15 Randy left the house with Sammy to take him to kindergarten. I went straight to work making a casserole for lunch, and both Tammy and Emmy helped me. Then we did school. I gave them different papers with tasks to do, and they did a great job. In the end they got a sticker for a job well done. It was already 9:30, and I had to get ready for my 10 am student. The kids started using their tablets, while I corrected homework and prepared my lesson. I then taught until 10 am and continued working, doing office work.
Randy and Sammy returned at 11 am. Today they didn't have Randy leave at all because of how much it had traumatized Sammy last week.
As everyone was hungry, and the food was ready, we sat down to eat right away. They all had icecream, then they continued playing, mainly with their tablets. Randy left on a grocery store run, while I continued working on the computer. At 1:30 I put them to bed; Randy had just returned. They were soon all asleep.
I needed a nap too, but ended up continuing to work instead. I then got some snacks ready for us to take with us, and at 2:45 I woke the rest of the family up, as we needed to leave the house at 3 pm.
Tammy was her typical cranky self after having been woken up and forced to get up right away. We took the subway out of town and to the end and walked to the school there. We hadn't had any classes at that school in a while. And this class was only 4 afternoons, today being the first one. We got there early and had to wait the full 10 minutes until the class was supposed to start.
There were 3 other students there, and they were all 4 or 5. However, two kids had been in her class before, and all three were already able to cut well, which is still hard for our children.
It was a crafts class and lasted 75 minutes. It was also for kids only, without parents, but because Sammy is in a wheelchair, he's allowed a person to help with him. And so I got to stay, while Randy went outside and waited there for us. At first the teacher was not too happy, but she soon got over it and turned out really nice. She was sweet with Sammy and tried to help as much as possible. She also helped the other two.
At first she gave them a sheet of paper with outlines of the body parts of a gorilla that they needed to cut. I helped them with that, and so did she. Then they got paint and were supposed to pain a picture, a backdrop for the gorilla. The table was a bit high for Emmy, and so he ended up painting on the floor. As for Sammy, I got him out of the wheelchair and held him so he'd have a good height. He also enjoyed painting a picture.
Next they needed to glue the gorilla together, then glue it on their backdrop. They were all doing a great job. She then offered them glitter, that especially Tammy was excited about. Then they were pretty much done, even though the time was not up yet. Tammy and Emmy started running around, and washing their hands, and I also washed Sammy's. We then said our good-byes and left the class a few minutes early.
We walked back to the subway, with them eating their snacks, then took the subway back home. Randy took the kids downstairs, while I had a student at 5:30 pm. Not having had a nap, I was so very tired that it was visible. Also, while the cough is finally gone, my throat and ears still hurt.
As soon as I was done teaching at 6:20 pm, the kids came back upstairs, and they were hungry. At 6:30 pm the half-hour Zoom story time from their music school started, and so they all sat by the table to watch, while I made and brought them food. After it was over, they went into the bathtub, where they continued eating while playing. Then we got them out and ready for bed. I read them a bedtime story, then prayed for them all and put them to bed. It was only a few minutes after 8 pm. I got myself something to eat, while Tammy was still asking for me for a while and was satisfied, when I'd come and put my hand on her for a minute or two. After having eaten, I went back to work. Now it's 11:30 pm, and I'm so very tired that I need to go to bed.
