Day 1501. Having gone to bed a little later than usual last night, I could really feel the difference this morning, being even more tired than usual. At 8:15 am Randy and Sammy left for kindergarten, while I did "school" with the other two kids for a while. They were doing a great job and got a sticker each at the end to put on their folders. Then I went to work on the computer, while they started playing.

At 11 am I went to the kitchen to make lunch, and about 15 minutes later Randy and Sammy returned. He'd had a good day at kindergarten, but Daddy could not leave for half an hour like I had done yesterday. At 12:15 we sat down to eat, then they played some more until I put them to bed for their nap just before 1:30 pm. It took them all quite some time to fall asleep. I finally lay down next to Sammy to help him, and then he fell asleep. But the delay meant that he did not get to sleep for long, as I had to wake him up about half an hour later. I myself never got to sleep, even though I was really tired.

Just before 2:30 I got Sammy out of bed and dressed him, and a few minutes later the two of us left together. Randy and the other kids were still sleeping. We took the subway for two stops, then had quite a walk ahead of us. Sammy was talking away and having fun, happy that Mommy was the one with him. We got to his therapy center a few minutes before his session was to start. It was his first time in months, since before our US trip. The receptionist greeted him warmly, and his physiotherapist was right there as well and genuinely happy to see him. We then followed her into her room right away.

She had a trainee with her who is the one in the picture with Sammy. The physiotherapist asked about our trip, and I told her about the new skills Sammy has required in the course of the last few months. She wanted to see them for herself and was impressed at how Sammy moves around on his knees now. She also said that he has a much greater range of motion in his arms than before, and was impressed by his ability to stand and pull himself up to stand. She made Sammy do all kinds of things, and Sammy was having fun.

After an hour the session was over and we left. We walked back to the subway and took it home. We got there at about 4:15, which meant I only had a few minutes until my first student of the day. I took Sammy downstairs and got ready to teach.

I then taught for two hours, until 6:30 pm. Randy and the kids came upstairs while I was still teaching. After I was done, I went to the kitchen and made an omelet for the kids, then their bread with salami and all kinds of fruit. They ate some, then continued eating in the bathtub. Then we got them ready for bed. I read them a bedtime story, then prayed for them and put them to bed. It was not that much after 8 pm yet, and so they stayed up for a while, at least Tammy and Emmy did. Randy sat down by them, while I got myself something to eat and sat down to prepare for my 9:30 pm lesson. I then taught until 10:20, followed by the work I have to do after the lesson. At some point I was finally done and could move to a more comfortable position to continue working from there. Randy went to bed early, so I had to go to the kitchen with my computer. Now it's 12:30 am, and I hope to make it to bed soon.
