HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1492. It was another rough night, with Emmy coming and going, and me not being able to sleep because of this virus. When I cough, it's so bad that it hurts and wakes me up. Thankfully the kids are getting close to getting over it.
The alarm went off at 7:15 am again, and I left the house with Sammy at 8:15 am for day 2 at kindergarten. Yesterday he had stayed for an hour, today he stayed for 2 hours, which was half an hour longer than what they had envisaged. We got there at 8:30 and played until 9 am. There was a a big drum that Sammy enjoyed, and we also played balls, and he went into the swing. From 9 to 9:30 they had a program, then it was snack time, followed by play time. From 10 to 10:30 it was group exercise time. Sammy did well. Then the leader of the group thought that it was enough for Sammy's second day. We said good-bye and left. Sammy said that he had enjoyed his time there, and he'd actually smiled for most of the time. He's not been upset about anything yet.
Once home just before 11 am, Sammy went downstairs to join his siblings, while I lay down for a few minutes. At noon we ate, then Randy left to go to the grocery store. At 1:30 pm I put them to bed. Tammy cried so hard again that I climbed up on the bunkbed to lie down next to her; it's the second time I've done that. She calmed down, then I left to take care of Sammy, and also held Emmy's hand. A few minutes later I left them. They all fell asleep quickly. I went to my own bed and lay down.
At 3 pm I got up to wake everybody up, as Tammy and Emmy had to leave the house at 3:30 pm. They had a make-up class to make up for the very first piano class they had missed, and since next week more of their classes are starting, this was the week to do it. Sammy and I said good-bye to Daddy and Tammy and Emmy at 3:30 pm. The next two hours were ours. Sammy needs attention pretty much the whole time, but I was also trying to work and do some scanning. Plus, I was still not doing well. The cough is so deep and painful.
Just before 5:30 pm they returned. They had done really well again in the class and got to play with their tablets as a reward. At 5:30 pm I had a student, so the timing was perfect. After I was done, I cooked them some fresh corn, which they enjoy eating, then I made the fruit and bread with salami for them. They went into the bathtub, where they ate some more, then we got them out and ready for bed. I had enough of my voice back to read them a bedtime story, then I prayed for them and put them to bed. Tammy was asking for me again, but I couldn't stay. Emmy wanted Daddy, who sat down by them after having eaten. I ate myself, then had another student at 9:30 pm. After I was done teaching, I went to work. Now it's midnight and I'm going to bed after having taken care of the kitchen. I'd really like a good night for a change.
