Day 1395. Last night Tammy and Emmy had to sleep on their mattresses on the floor, while Sammy had his bed, because Randy had started putting their new bed up, but without a manual, it's near impossible to do, so it goes extremely slowly. Tammy and Emmy came to our bed at some point, but I was so tired that I'm not really sure about the details. At some point Randy got up to make their breakfast, then it was time to dress them. The cleaning lady arrived at 9 am, and a few minutes later the Mobile Support lady came for the last time before our US trip. I talked to her briefly, then she went downstairs with all three kids. She said she could handle them by herself, which allowed Randy to stay upstairs and continue trying to figure out how to put the bed together. As for me, I had another half hour before I needed to leave the house to go to the dentist once again because a filling had fallen out once again. Such a nuisance, especially as it's all across town, nearly an hour away.

I took the 9:50 train and got there about 50 minutes later. There were no people in the waiting room, so it was my turn quickly and I got to leave there pretty quickly. By 11:45 I was back home. Given how late it was, I got two pizzas out and added some more toppings, then put them into the oven. Somehow it still took until nearly 12:30 before we sat down to eat. After everyone was done, they went back to watching videos.

They were not done with their dessert, when it was bed time, and so it was later than usual before I put them down for their nap. Randy wanted to continue working on the bed, so that meant light and noise, and he was in the same room. I was hoping they'd still sleep, and tried everything to get them to. And then Tammy actually fell asleep first. I walked away before the boys were asleep, but returned a few times to tell them to stop interacting and get quiet. Emmy never slept, but he claimed that Sammy had slept a little, which I'm not so sure about. Because I had to go to them several times, it was a long time before I was able to get a little sleep, and then my alarm already went off just after 3 pm. I found the boys wide awake, and the girl asleep. Soon Tammy was up too, and everyone was back on their feet.

I then taught from 3:30 to 4:20 pm, then put my shoes on so we could leave right away for their last music class. We made the 4:32 train, then rode the subway for one stop and walked the rest of the way to the school. It was extremely hot today, and so was the schoolroom. First we returned the last of the library DVD's, then we went to the room for the music class that started at 5 pm.

The teacher started with the greeting song, as always, going from child to child and asking them what everyone should do during their song. For Sammy everyone played the rattles, Emmy came next and said clapping, and Tammy said shaking your butt, which is usually Emmy's thing.

There were three other children, and the heat made the class a little harder than usual. Also, it was pretty obvious that Emmy was tired not having had a nap, as he was not participating quite a bit today. His hair was also partly wet from sweat.

The teacher did a few dances, and had them tap rhythms, but nothing too hard. One time she got the two sound bars out, and Sammy went first playing it. It then made the rounds, going from child to child. When we took it away from Sammy to give it to the next child, Sammy was upset and started crying hard, as he wanted to keep playing. I tried to comfort him, but it took a while. The teacher had pity on him, and let him have it again as the last child, which he was really happy about.

When we did a song /dance walking in a circle, I put Sammy on my shoulders, as he's pretty heavy to carry for longer, even though he only weighs 11.5 kilos. He sure loved being up there.

At the end, the teacher gave everyone a triangle, and everyone was to play to the song she was singing. And then the class was already over, and they each got a stamp on their paper, and always wanted one or more on their hands. We put their shoes back on, and Sammy saw the piano and wanted to play it, so I opened it up. He was really enjoying it. Then we said good-bye and left the school.

The kids wanted to go to the playground, and we agreed to go for a short time, since they've been scooped up watching stuff while Randy has been putting the bed together. We went behind the building, where the playground was. Tammy fell and scraped her knee, and Emmy also did a lot of falling today. The two of them went to the slide first, then we all went to the other side of the playground. Sammy wanted to go inside the jeep, and Daddy made it move. They all got onto the carrousel, and it was Emmy who walked in a circle pushing it. Sammy did not like it, so I took him off again. After they'd tried a few more things, we decided to go home, so Daddy could continue working on the bed.

We had to wait an unusually long time for the subway, then walked up to the train platform to wait for our train, and once again we had some time to wait until the 6:57 train. By 7:15 we were back home.

I immediately started making their dinner, then they went straight into the bathtub to eat it there. We got them out and ready for bed, and we read a Bible story together. As Randy was gonna continue working until 9 pm, and they don't sleep before then anyway, there was no point putting them to bed earlier. I let them watch Bibleman and other Christian kids' shows, while Sammy listened to children's songs. At 9 pm it was bed time, after I had prayed for them. It was finally light out and no more noise for them. Sammy wanted me to sing, of course, so I did. I first lay down next to Tammy for a few minutes, then next to Emmy, and also held Sammy's hand. Emmy was asleep quickly, as expected, but not so the other two. Just before 9:30 I left them, before they were asleep.

I continued working on my computer for some time, then got myself something to eat, then returned to work. Now it's 1:30 and time to clean up the kitchen and go to bed. I teach 5 hours in the course of the day tomorrow, starting at 10 am.
