HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1370. It was somewhat of a rough night for me. I can't say who was up first this morning, but at some point all three kids were in bed with me, and they wanted me to read a book to them. I told them I could not open my eyes yet. Eventually they sat down for breakfast, and I gave Emmy the sweetbread with jam he had asked for. Then I dressed them, and Randy went downstairs with them. It was just about 10 am, and I had a student.
After I was done I continued working for some time, then I went to the kitchen to cook lunch. Some time before noon Randy and the kids came upstairs, and just after noon we sat down to eat. It was Tammy's favorite dish, cremed spinach with potatoes and a sunny-side-up egg, and so she ate everything on her plate, and finished off what her brothers didn't eat. Then everyone had dessert. They were watching a movie, and Sammy was listening to children's songs. Randy left on an errand, and at 1:15 I put them to bed for their nap.
Normally Emmy falls asleep right away, and Tammy is last. Today it was different. I told them I'd only take those of them that had a nap to go see Kasperl. It was Tammy who fell asleep first, which was very unusual, while Sammy was messing around, and Emmy was also not lying still. I then gave Emmy my left hand and Sammy my right hand. Eventually Emmy finally fell asleep, but not Sammy. One time I left, and when I returned just a few minutes later, he was sitting and about to get up. I quickly sat down again and didn't think any more that he'd sleep. He'd have to stay home with Daddy. Just after 2 pm he DID fall asleep, much to my surprise - and relief. I left the sleeping kids and lay down myself.
Only minutes later Emmy walked into the room. He lay down next to me, and we both fell asleep. He woke back up just before 3 pm. Soon he got up, and I told him he could wake his siblings up, as we needed to get ready to leave the house. At 3:15 we left to walk to the subway. It was a hot day, but the wind was still a little chilly in the shade. We rode the subway for a few stops, then got off to walk quite a bit to get to the theater. We purchased our tickets and were the first ones inside the theater. Tammy and Emmy went straight to the first row, and the rest of us sat down behind them. However, we still had nearly 15 minutes to wait until it started. I had brought along a book to look at, but they were not interested. They all had a few snacks, as they had not eaten anything since waking up, while the theater was slowly filling up.
At 4 pm the program started and lasted half an hour. Our two kids were the ones that did the most laughing and the most talking, interacting with the puppets, which is part of the program. It was so much fun watching the kids. Sammy was not really interested, and we did our best to keep him happy.
After the program was over, we went to the one bathroom they had, but it was locked, so we waited. Emmy started saying that he needed to go urgently. After we had stood there waiting for 10 minutes, the lady at the counter told us that there was a public restroom right outside. However, it was payable, and so we came back. In the meantime the restroom was available, so we went inside. Then we finally exited the theater to walk to the small kids' amusement park right there. With the ticket we had we could get a discount, so we only paid 15€ for 6 rides instead of 16€. That meant that each kid had two rides, so they had to choose carefully. Of course there were more rides they wanted to do, but I told them we'd be back.
They immediately wanted to go ride the cars, but there was a line, so we went to the caroussel/swing first. Emmy had done that one time before, but it was the first time for Tammy. They both loved it, laughing nearly the whole time. Then we went to the car ride right next to it, and the line was pretty much gone now. Once the two cars became available, Tammy got into the red one, and Emmy into the blue. The ride was from 1948, and in fact, all the rides in that area were from the 50's. The kids only got to do two rounds, then it was already over. They had really enjoyed it.
As for Sammy, Randy went with him to the train ride, and he did it twice. The first time he only discovered at the very end that there was a horn, but the second time he blew it the whole time, having fun doing so. While we were waiting for Sammy, the other two kids got into a little car there that you had to put a coin into to make it move.
Then we left to make our way back in the direction of the subway. But we were heading to the playground there first. As the kids were saying how hungry they were, I was gonna go to the McDonald's there to pick up some food and take it back to them at the playground. Sammy wanted to come with me, so the two of us went to McDonald's, while the others headed straight to the playground. When we rejoined them, we sat down at a bench to eat. Then they wanted to go into the round swing, so all three were in there briefly, but didn't want to stay long. Tammy and Emmy were enjoying that carpet that moved by jumping on it, and Sammy joined them there, having lots of fun jumping up and down while lying on it, thanks to his siblings. There was one other child, and we started talking with the parents, once I told them that our kids were triplets. Randy started talking with the Dad, because he was wearing a T-shirt with an American flag. After some time, we put Sammy back into the chair and left to walk back to the subway and go home.
When we reached the subway platform, Randy realized he did not have his diaper backpack, so he left to go back to the playground, while we waited for him, letting one train come and go. He soon returned with the backpack, and we took the next subway.
By 6:30 pm we were home. I let them finish their movie, and started cutting up fruit for them to eat. Randy soon left for another pickup of bike parts. And so I was on my own. I put them into the bathtub, where they continued eating, then got them out one after another and put their pj's on. We sat down to read Bible stories, but it was only 7:45 pm by the time we were done. So I opened YouTube on our Alexa device and found an episode of Bibleman for them to watch. It was their first time ever seeing that show. Once it was over, it was 8 pm and time for bed. I prayed for them and flew them into bed. And then Sammy was really excited, when Daddy returned home. He reacted like he hadn't seen him in days, and I had to get him back out of bed and take him to Randy. Then they went to bed, and I sat down by them.
All three were rather awake and active. Pretty soon Randy took my place, as Sammy wanted his Daddy, so I left to go work and grab a bite to eat. Then I started working on today's pictures. The kids were active for a while and needed a few stern warnings before they finally got quiet. Now it's going on 1 am and time to finish cleaning up the kitchen before going to bed.
