HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1365. Emmy was the first one up again, as early as usual, though not as early as yesterday. Sammy then woke up very quickly, and Tammy continued sleeping for some time before her brothers had woken her up as well. Eventually Randy got up to take their diapers off and make his oatmeal with boiling water, while I made hot chocolate for them all upon request. Tammy has been coughing again and didn't want to eat, but she wanted some hot chocolate, and then the others did as well.
After breakfast I cleaned them up and dressed them, then they wanted to go out on the balcony to blow bubbles. They'd received a gift yesterday, a bottle of bubbles with a fan on top. It has a manual handle you have to turn to make the fan turn, and it comes off easily. First Emmy had lost his and found it again, then Tammy lost hers. Randy agreed to go on the balcony with them for a little while, while I turned my computer on to work. Soon they all went downstairs and actually went outside, as it was another hot and sunny day. Sammy got to walk in his walker, while his siblings ran their scooters.
At about 11:45 they came upstairs before I was done with what I was working on. I tried to finish it with them right next to me, but there was just no way. I let them watch Pinocchio on my computer which they hadn't watched in a long time, and went to the kitchen to get lunch ready. We still had leftovers from the party yesterday, so they were our lunch. I took the bread on top off, as it was pretty thick, and took the sandwiches to the table. You can also see the beautiful flowers I'd received yesterday. Everyone then ate sandwiches and had leftover cake as dessert, and some also had icecream. I then let the kids watch videos until bedtime at 1:15. By about 1:30 they were all in bed for their nap, and I sat down by them. Now that Sammy can go from lying to standing in his bed, he enjoys it so much he does it a lot. I had to put him back into a sleeping position a few times before he stayed there. The boys were soon asleep, but Tammy was coughing which kept her from falling asleep for a long time. At least I was able to walk away before she was asleep.
It was about 2:30 before I lay down to get some sleep. Randy was once again gone on a pickup of a used item. I was really tired and quickly fell asleep. Unfortunately Emmy walked into the room only minutes later, but he lay down with me and fell asleep again. He woke up again and was loud enough to wake his brother up. I had to get up to turn the music on for Sammy to keep him happy. A while later Tammy came running into our bedroom, where I was with Emmy, and she was crying. She had just woken up and was not feeling well, with the coughing and runny nose. She would not be comforted and cried a while and stayed in my bed after Emmy and I had gotten up. She then calmed down and still stayed in my bed, even after Randy had come home and taken the boys downstairs, and even after I had started teaching at 4 pm. A few minutes into my lesson, Emmy suddenly walked into the room, but then he and his sister both went downstairs together, thank God. I was able to finish teaching without interruptions.
Randy and the kids came upstairs at 5 pm. For once I was already done teaching and we didn't have to rush as much as usual. We got ready and left the house at 5:15 to walk to the train station. It was a really hot day today, more like a July day. When we got to the train platform, we saw that our train was canceled. Just great! We had to take the next train 20 minutes later, which meant that we were going to be late for class. We sat down on the bench, and the kids were having fun, playing around, until our train came at 5:50 pm.
As soon as we were on the train, they said that they needed to go to the bathroom. I think they just wanted to go there for the adventure. We had to cross nearly the whole train to get there, then walk it all back. After we got off, they wanted to take the escalator, so the three of us did, while Randy and Sammy took the elevator. While we were waiting for them, Tammy and Emmy were climbing around on the bars there. Then we still had a bit of a walk to accomplish to get to the school, where we arrived at 6:10 pm, ten minutes after the class had started. I rang the bell for the janitor, but nobody was responding or opening the door. I simply kept ringing it, wondering whether we'd have to turn around and go back home. I kept ringing it for at least 5 minutes, when the cleaning lady came to open the door for us. The teacher later said that that is not unusual for the janitor not to react to the bell.
And so we got to class pretty late. They had already done the initial races, but just for us, he gave us hoops so we could still pull the kids to the other end of the gym and back, which we did twice. Sammy (and I) won both times.
Then I started playing ball with Sammy and filmed a few minutes of it. He was doing real well, and the teacher came up to me and said that he thought he was sitting much better than he used to. I told him that Sammy was improving all the time.
Then the rings came down, and I took Sammy to them, as he loves them so much. He then sat in them and had me twirl him for quite a long time. Today there were only two other kids, and there was another set of rings, so there was no line. He stayed in there for really a long time, and was still very upset, when I got him out. Tammy and Emmy kept going up the vaulting block and jumping down and were calling to me to watch them jump. Emmy was actually doing a somersault after jumping off, and hew as doing a really good job of it. Tammy did it too, but her somersault was pretty crooked. Randy then had Sammy do it too, as he was still crying because of me taking him out of the rings. Randy then left with him to go to the big ball and then let him watch children's songs for the rest of the class. I stayed with Tammy and Emmy who kept going up and jumping down, and they also wanted me to help them jump really high on the trampoline, which they enjoyed.
The teacher started putting everything up again, and the kids tried again to stay on the big mat while the adults were taking it back to where it's stored. However, the teacher didn't want to slide them with the mat and simply put it upright so that they fell off. It was already after 7 pm, so it was pretty late and too late for a final race. We simply returned to the locker room to put our shoes back on and leave to go home.
While walking back to the train station, the kids again walked on top of the little wall, while they were eating the bread or apples I had brought along. We made it onto the 7:23 train and were home just after 7:30 pm. They took their clothes off and went into the bathtub, while I cut up some fruit for them that I then took to them there. They were eating and playing, then we took them out and got them ready for bed. They still wanted to read a Bible story, so I did, then I prayed for them and flew them into bed. It was already 8:30 pm by the time they were all in bed. I sat down by them, and all three were still pretty active and talking. Soon Sammy asked for Randy to sit there, not me, but Tammy wanted Mommy. I stayed a little longer, then Tammy let me leave and Randy took my place. I went to the kitchen to get something to eat, and after having eaten, I went back to work. Now it's after 1 am and time to clean up the kitchen and go to bed.
