HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1330. This morning I discovered Tammy in bed with us again; it's become a daily thing recently. Emmy usually comes in the early morning hours. He was up around 7:30 today and soon his siblings were as well. Randy eventually got up to make breakfast, then I cleaned them up and dressed them, and just after 9 am they all went downstairs. I went to the kitchen to make a casserole for lunch. Tammy and Emmy heard the mixer and came upstairs to help me. Then they returned downstairs, while I turned my computer on to work.
It was just after 11:30, when Randy had had enough downstairs and came upstairs with the kids, each one going to a separate device to watch, listen or play. At noon we sat down to eat. They had some dessert, then returned to their devices. At 1:15 I put them to bed for their nap. Once again Tammy and Emmy kept their underwear on during their nap, and it worked out. Sammy now says "potty" frequently, and actually does his business, when we put him on the potty. After the boys were asleep, I walked away, even with Tammy still awake.
Randy had left on a grocery run, and I soon lay down for a nap myself. It was after 2 pm. Surprisingly the kids slept long today - even Sammy slept nearly 2 hours, which is not at all like him. It was 3:15, when I woke up because of Emmy walking into the room, and then I already heard Sammy. Randy had not been back for long either. And then Tammy was up too. I needed to do some work before my 4:30 pm student and got started setting it up, but it was a little hard with the kids around, and especially while holding Sammy. I was glad, when Randy went downstairs with them, and I could finally scan the book I needed. Time went by really fast. I then taught until 5:20, quickly put my shoes on, got the kids ready, and we left the house.
We walked to the subway, then on to the train platform, where we took the 5:32 train. After we got off the train, we just had a little walking left to do. It was much warmer today, but the strong wind was still rather cold. We reached the school and rolled the wheelchair up the staircase, and then down an even longer one to the basement. We were the first ones there. The previous class had just finished, and the participants were changing back into their street clothes. The teacher told us that it was the men's locker room, but all the families from our class were always together in this room. He told us to go inside the gym, and later our teacher scolded us that we should not go in before the class starts.
In any case, the kids were excited to be in the gym and started running and climbing up the walls. Tammy climbed all the way to the top and was proud to show that she could do that. Emmy was still a little fearful, as he does not like heights.
At 6 pm the teacher and other participants came in. In fact, there were a lot of people today. He started handing out hoops to begin with the typical race of the kids inside the hoop and the parents holding the hoops. Three times we ran to the other end of the gym and back. Randy ran with Emmy and Tammy, and I pushed Sammy in his chair. Then it was time for them to lie down on the ground, and we pulled the kids who were holding on to the hoops. Sammy just loves that part. We did that a few times as well. Then the teacher handed out balls to everyone, and the kids started running and chasing and trying to hit us with the balls. I was playing balls with Sammy for a while. He then also wanted to climb up the wall, and he did really well. He lifted his left leg up to the next sprung, then had a little bit of a hard time putting his right leg on the same sprung. But he was motivated to go up, and upset, when I got him down. Then I left with him to change his diaper.
When we got back, all the equipment was set up. Tammy and Emmy were walking up the bench to jump of the vaulting box, and today Emmy was not scared of the height for some reason. The rings were also down, and our kids lined up to get on them. All three got to swing and had fun, Sammy being very upset again, when I pulled him out. He was trying to bite and scratch me in his anger. I then suggested to the teacher to have a second set of rings, so the kids did not have to line up for so long, and he got them down. From then the wait times were short, and the kids were loving it.
Then all three kids ended up by the vaulting box and big mat. They kept jumping off and then doing a somersault, and they were doing a good job. I then helped Sammy do somersaults, and he loved it, laughing the whole time. While they were doing their somersaults, the adults were putting the equipment back up. Finally the big mat was the only thing left to put up. The teacher started pulling the mat to where it goes, with all the kids sitting on top. They were loving it. Then they had to get off, so it could be put upright. I put Sammy back into his chair, and then we did the final race of them running to the end of the gym and back. I did the first race with Sammy, then Randy the second. And then the class was over. We put their coats and shoes back on, pulled the wheelchair back up the staircase and then back down, and left the building to return to the train station. When we got there, we still had 9 minutes until our train's departure. The kids ate some of the food I had brought along, while watching videos. Just after 7:30 we were back home.
The kids went into the bathtub, where they ate some more food while having fun, then we got them out and ready for bed. Even though it was after 8 pm, the kids still wanted to hear Bible stories, and so I read a few. Then I prayed for them and flew them into bed and sat down by them. They were once again really talkative. By 9 pm I'd had enough and left them. Nobody said anything for a while. The boys fell asleep, but then Tammy was whining and wanted Daddy to come sit with her, and he took his plate of food with him to the chair. I myself got something to eat, and went back to work after I was done. Now it's 1 am and time to clean up the kitchen and go to bed.
