HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1320. When I went to bed at 2 am, Tammy was lying in it, so I carried her back. A few minutes later she returned, and I carried her back again. When she came back again, she got to stay with us. Emmy joined us in the early morning hours, and it wasn't long after 7 am, when they were all up already. However, they were watching Kasperl and Sammy listening to children's songs until Randy got up to change their diapers and make breakfast for the four of them. After breakfast, I cleaned them up and dressed them, and Randy went downstairs with them. As for me, I got ready for my 10 am student and taught until 11 am. I then did some work on the computer, and at 11:30 I went to the kitchen to cook lunch.
It wasn't noon yet, when Randy and the kids came upstairs, but our food was nearly ready. At noon we sat down at the table to eat, and they ate well. Then Emmy started watching Firefighter Sam, Tammy was watching or playing stuff on their tablet, and Sammy was trying to listen to children's songs, but the new CD player was already having issues. Randy left on a grocery store run. At 1:15 I put them all to bed and sat down by them. Emmy falls asleep so easily and quickly at lunch time. When the doorbell went off a few minutes after they had gone to bed, he didn't even hear it. The other two responded to it. I got the package at the door, then sat down again by them. By 1:45 they were asleep, so that I could walk away.
It was some time closer to 2:30 pm before I got to lie down myself, which I needed very much. Then my memory gets blurry. Emmy woke me up several times, as he always does, even though I've asked him over and over again to allow me to sleep.
Randy went downstairs with the kids at some point. He got the gokart out he'd bought second hand a few days ago to let them check it out, and all three loved it. In the end it was Sammy who was still on it, and Randy said he loved it more than anything else before. When he took him off to come upstairs with him, he was extremely upset, crying, and he always scratches and bites, when he's like that. I took him from Randy and was able to calm him down. We then got everyone and everything ready to leave, and left the house around 4:20 pm.
We walked to a nearby bus stop. We hadn't taken a bus in a very long time. We walked by the new neighboring building, where they have a tiny playground, and as we still had a few minutes until our bus's arrival, Tammy and Emmy played during that time. Then we walked the rest of the way to the bus stop and got on the bus.
We rode the bus for a while, and then we still had a good walk ahead of us to the indoor playground. The kids had only been there once before, which was over a year ago. We walked and walked and reached the building 9 minutes before 5 pm. There was a long line of people that we joined - all the people that came for the reduced price that becomes available at 5 pm, to stay for the last two hours of the day. At 5 pm the line started moving. When it was our turn, I was happy that Sammy got to go in free, as it was still rather expensive.
We took our coats and shoes off and left them in a locker, then we went in. Tammy and Emmy ran straight to the huge blow-up mountain in the middle of the room and started climbing up. The air would increase and decrease so that the kids could climb up on the lower air. The pool with the boats was right there, so the rest of us lined up there. I had bought 3 extra coins for the boat ride, as they had loved it so much last time. Emmy was the first one to get into the boat with Emmy, then Sammy took Emmy's place. Tammy was supposed to go next, but she didn't care to go, and so by the time we wanted to use the last coin, all those activities were already closed for the day.
After the boat ride, we took the elevator up to the top floor, where the area for the 0 to 4 year-olds was. Sammy loves his balls, so we went to the pool of balls first, but for some reason he didn't like it, so Randy took him elsewhere. Tammy and Emmy didn't stay long either and moved on to other things quickly. There was a smaller pool of balls as well that had slides going in, and they went down those slides a few times. There were some carrousel-like things as well that they did briefly, until reaching the "racing track", the area for the little bobby cars. All three started going around there, with the hill being especially appealing. Sammy stayed there much longer with Randy, enjoying moving around all by himself with the car, able to make it move. As for the other two, I showed them the long slide ending in balls right next to there, so they started climbing up and sliding down there. Tammy made a new friend there, a girl who was a year older than her, and the two stuck together for the rest of our time there. I was talking to her grandmother, while we were both standing there and watching them.
After a while I suggested we go on to the trampolins that were nearby. Tammy was not happy, as her friend was going a different direction, but she soon returned, as the girls wanted to stay together. The boys got into cars and a helicopter, and Daddy made the helicopter move by putting a Euro in. They were also all jumping around the trampolins for a bit. Then we all moved on again.
It became tricky after that, as it was impossible to always know where everyone was. The girls started going down the big slide and climbing back up several times, and Emmy did too. I then climbed up with Sammy and went down with him, which he really enjoyed. Randy also slid down with him once. Then we moved on to another construct with a long slide there, and Emmy went down and climbed back up. He and Sammy also went inside the carriage there, and Emmy was sitting on the horse. At that point we did not know where Tammy was, so I went downstairs to the bottom, where the slide ended and found the Grandma, who didn't know where they were either. Soon I found Tammy on top of the blow-up mountain. Randy and the boys then came downstairs as well.
We checked out a few more things on the bottom, from cars operated with coins, to a smaller blow-up slide. We ended up on a blow-up castle together, as I was trying to make Sammy happy. I lay down on there with him, and soon the other kids joined us, including Tammy's new friend. We were having lots of fun. The kids were doing somersaults, and I was holding them into the air and playing with them. It's a shame that Randy didn't take a few pictures. And then, suddenly, the air left the castle, and we all sunk to the ground. It was nearly 7 pm, which is when the place was closing. We got up off the floor and went to the lockers. Randy had talked to the Grandma and found out that she's from a different part of Austria and that she had a friend who went to church there who had probably heard me preach there. The world is small!
We put their shoes and jackets back on and were among the last ones to leave the building. We crossed the street and walked just a little bit to get to the bus stop. They were hungry and thirsty, and I had brought some bread with salami and apples with me, that they started eating. We rode the bus for 3 stops, then had to switch to another bus. It was still sitting there for 10 minutes, as the line starts there. We were the only ones in the bus. Tammy and Emmy started watching Paw Patrol. Suddenly the driver approached us, all mean, and started insulting us because of the noise of the video. He must have had a bad day. I said that he'd surely much rather have some noise than screaming and crying kids. He said no, that he would prefer that, said a few more insulting things, and returned to his seat. I then turned down their volume to a minimum. I had Sammy sitting with me, and he also wanted to watch children's songs, so I kept the volume for him low as well.
We rode the bus line to the very end, then had to walk a little to get home. Randy was carrying Tammy, while I had Emmy on my shoulders. By 7:45 we were home, so rather late. We put them into the bathtub and turned the water on, and I brought them some cut up fruit to eat, while they were having fun. Then we got them ready for bed. They wanted to read some Bible stories, so we did. Then I prayed for them and flew them into bed. It was 8:40, when I sat down by them. As they always do at lunch time, Tammy and Sammy asked me to hold hands with them, which I did. Soon Sammy started asking for Daddy, who was still eating in the kitchen. Once he was done, he took my place, and I went to the kitchen to make myself something to eat. After i had eaten, I went back to work. Now it's nearly 1:30 and time to clean up the kitchen and go to bed. We have to leave the house rather early in the morning.
