HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1308. Last night we moved our clocks an hour forward. I'm not sure what time Emmy was up this morning, but it was really early, and so it was early for the others as well. Eventually Randy got up. After breakfast I cleaned them up and dressed them, and the kids went downstairs with Randy.
I was very tired, but turned my computer on to work. I'm not sure what time it was, when I started. Thankfully I only had the soup to warm up for lunch today, and Randy came upstairs with the kids after noon. Emmy and Tammy came upstairs first and wanted to watch videos. Because of the time change, we had lunch at 12:30, which worked well. Tammy and Sammy ate everything in their bowls, but not Emmy. Only Sammy had icecream today. The other two continued watching videos. I was so extremely tired that all I could do was to lie down and close my eyes. I got close to falling asleep a few times, but the kids always needed me for something. When Randy put them to bed at 1:45, it soon became clear that it was not gonna work for them to fall asleep unless I sat with them. And so I got up and relieved Randy, sitting down in the chair by their beds. I was able to calm down Sammy who soon fell asleep, and Tammy was also nearly asleep, when I left just after 2 pm.
I went back to bed, but I wasn't quite as tired any more, and so I ended up continuing my work instead of lying down to sleep again. I regretted that later, when the tiredness hit me again full-force.
By 3 pm the boys were up again, and the girl a few minutes later. I went to the kitchen to make the food for their dinner-to-go boxes. Emmy and Tammy were pretty cranky, and so I sat them on the counter next to me, while I was making the food. All three have just started having stuffed or runny noses. After I was done, we slowly got everyone and everyone ready to leave the house, which we we did at 4:20 pm.
It was a lot colder today, as we walked to the train station. Right now there is no S-train running for a few days because of maintenance, and so we had to take an old train with a few steps. After we got off, we walked to the tram stop and then rode the tram. Getting off the tram, we still had to walk up the hill to church, where we arrived a few minutes after the service had started.
We hadn't been at church in weeks for various reasons, so it was good to be back. It was also the first time Sammy came with his wheelchair. We walked to our regular spot in the front, then Randy got Sammy out of the chair. They were all having fun with the fabric and streamers. Soon Emmy came asking to go upstairs, and at 5:45 we got moving. Now that we had the wheelchair, we had to find someone with the key to the elevator so we could go upstairs to the children's program. Randy went upstairs with the other two, while I started asking around until I found someone with they key. We then took the elevator and joined the others in the room.
Randy and I alternate who is staying with the kid and who goes to the sanctuary, and today it was my turn to enjoy the service. As tired as I was, I appreciated that. I walked back downstairs and took my seat, where I worshipped and then listened to the preaching with my eyes closed. At 6:45 I went back upstairs to the kids' room.
The kids were playing and happy to see me. I sat down with them on the floor and played with all three a little. We had been looking forward to seeing Sonja, but she texted us that she was not gonna be there. However, Sammy was excited to see Anna and eager to go to the sanctuary to find her. And so we all put our shoes back on and left to take the elevator back down.
We walked into the sanctuary, but there was no Anna. Sammy was disappointed. And so we put their coats on and left to go home. It was after 7 pm, and it was pretty chilly outside. Good thing we had gotten the winter coats back out. We walked back to the tram stop, where the tram had just arrived and we made it. The kids were watching videos, while eating their food on the tram. After we got off, we still had over 20 minutes to wait for our train, and so we stayed in the hall. The kids continued eating and watching videos. A few minutes before the train's arrival, we went upstairs to the platform. The train arrived just before 8 pm, and thankfully it was a new one with no steps. We got on, and by 8:15 we were back home.
Emmy was crying, because he wanted to continue watching videos, but I told them it was bedtime. We started getting them ready for bed, then we still sat down to read Bible stories. They're always upset, when I finally stop. I then prayed for them and put them to bed. I sat down by them until Randy came with his plate of food. Then I got my food, and then I started working again. Now it's 1 am and time to clean up the kitchen and go to bed.
