Day 1305. Thankfully we didn't have to set any alarms today, but Emmy was up at his usual 7 am. Eventually Randy got up to make his oatmeal, change their diapers and sit down with them to eat breakfast. Then I cleaned them up and dressed them. Thank God it's finally time for short-sleeved shirts and shorts! Randy then went downstairs with them. It was already nearly 10:30 before they were gone and I could sit down at the computer to work. I'm trying to catch up on what I've got to do, but it's very slow-going. Before I knew it, it was 11:30 and time to go to the kitchen to cook. Randy and the kids were also coming upstairs.

Randy was a proud Dad, holding Sammy in his arm and telling me that Sammy had gone potty for the very first time. He's been saying potty quite a bit but had never done anything when put on the potty. Today he peed into the potty twice! Way to go, Sammy! I heaped praised on my little boy for his achievement.

At 12:15 we sat down to eat. Everyone ate well and had icecream. Then they continued watching their videos. They got to watch a little longer today, until just after 1:30 pm. By then Randy had already left for the grocery store, and I was very tired and just wanted to sleep. I stayed with them for a few minutes and then left before Tammy was asleep, but it was okay. I returned to my computer to make sure my two afternoon lessons were ready, and by the time I was done, I could only set my timer for 10 minutes, which was nothing. It was hard getting up before I had even fallen asleep, and I felt the tiredness much of the rest of the day.

At 2:30 pm I started teaching my first student. Sammy soon woke up, and then Emmy. Tammy needed a bit longer. I finished at 4:20 and then helped get everyone ready for us to leave the house, which we did a few minutes later. We walked to the subway, got on and rode it nearly to the end. Then we went up to street level and still had a walk ahead to get to their music school. They missed their music class last week because of the conference, so they had their make-up class scheduled at 5 pm today.

We got there just before the class was to start. There were three other kids in the class at first, but one left after a while. The teacher was the same as the one in their class, which was a bonus. She started with the greeting song, going from kid to kid, then had them come to the front and sit down. She then did the song "5 little monkeys jumping on the bed" with actions and with a feltboard. Our kids were singing along and trying to do the actions. She then put three colors on the board and got three little instruments out that played a low, middle and high tone, and taught them what color was which tone. Then the kids got to hit the corresponding instruments.

She then had them sit down by the pianos and gave them laminated cards to put their hands on. There were hands painted on them and the numbers by the fingers. She then did the song that teaches what number each finger is, and they had to wiggle the corresponding finger. Then she gave them little instruments and they had to drum it with the corresponding finger. Emmy was not very motivated to participate at that time.

Then they were called up front, where they did a song/dance, where they had to put the body part they were asked to into the middle of the circle, and they did a good job. Next she had them sit down by the board and draw the note she asked them to draw. She had them all wipe it off again, and then came to the back, where we were, to get the small guitars hanging on the wall. That was a first, and it was exciting for everyone! Sammy was very excited, and thank God, there were enough of them for him to have one as well. The teacher had them sit down on the ground and did a song that the kids just needed to strum to, which they all did. They were all enjoying themselves! She then went from kid to kid, witch each kid being the only one playing, even though the other kids just played on anyway.

Then we put the guitars back up, and they sat down in the front for a story on the feltboard. Then she did the good-bye song and the class was over. The kids got their sticker books to receive their sticker for finishing a class. She then gave Sammy a sticker as well, putting it on the back of his hand. We left the room, put their shoes and jackets back on, and left to go back home. We walked back to the subway and got on the train home, where we arrived by 6:30 pm.

A package for them had arrived, and so they were eager to open it. I finally let them. It was two firefighter helmets from one of their favorite shows. It had a light and made noise, so Sammy was really interested in it as well. They were all playing with it, while I started making their dinner. After they were done at the table, they continued eating in the bathtub, but didn't finish it all tonight. After they had their pj's on, I started reading Bible stories to them, then I prayed for them and put them to bed and sat down by them. It was about 8 pm. I stayed for a little bit, but then Randy took my place, as I still wanted to make my food and eat and had homework to correct before my 9 pm class. I just about got everything done. I then finished teaching just before 10 pm and worked some more before shifting my focus to other things. Now it's once again 1:30, and I'm extremely tired. It's time to clean up the kitchen and then go to bed.
