HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1436. I had to set an alarm for 8 am this morning, as I had a 9 am student. We got up and went upstairs for breakfast. I ate my usual breakfast, while the kids waited for theirs, and it was soon ready as well - pancakes and bacon. After I was done, I went downstairs to get ready for my student, and I still had time to put clothes on the kids, as they were already done eating. They then started playing, while I was teaching.
We did have errands to run, but I was so tired and still had so much office work to get done, so we stayed home. The kids were playing upstairs, while I was working in our room.
At 1 pm we all sat down to eat with our host family. We enjoyed our meal and the fellowship. The kids got up after they had finished eating and were throwing something up to the ceiling, where it stuck, then got a broom to get it back down, and they just had so much fun doing that. I let them play until just before 2 pm, then it was nap time. I put them to bed and lay down by them for some time. But I had a 2:30 pm student. Since I had already prepared for the class, I left them just before 2:30.
With them sleeping in our bedroom, I went to the kitchen to teach, and it worked out perfectly. I finished at 3:30, then went back downstairs for us all to get ready to leave. I had to get Tammy up out of bed, and she's very cranky, when you wake her up. She was crying and trying to get away from me, while I was trying to dress her. We then left the house and strapped them into their car seats. It was 3:50 pm before we drove off.
We got to the indoor trampoline and playground just after 4:30, and our friends just after us. She's one of my best friends and has had two more kids since I last saw her 5 years ago. It was so great to see her again and to spend that time together, even though we only had little time to actually talk with each other. She had invited us to that playground, and the kids were full of anticipation and impatient to go in. We put the socks on them that they had received, and off they went.
There were two main play sections - one had little plastic balls and climbing stuff, as well as all the trampolines, while the other section had lots of climbing stuff and slides. We started with the balls, then went to the climbing. The kids were having lots of fun, and they were doing really well surmounting the obstacles. Sammy enjoyed the one straight slide a lot, and one of his favorite was sitting on the moving log and move back and forth.
Then we returned to the first section, where they ended up in the big pit full of square foam blocks. My friend's husband was in full action playing with their and our children, and they were all having lots of fun. I then took Sammy from Randy and kept throwing him into the pit, which made him laugh hard. He was having so much fun.
Everyone was getting hungry, and my friend ordered some pizzas and fries that we had to wait for. Tammy was really enjoying the trampolines, running around on them. We were all glad, when the buzzer finally went off, and we could sit down at the table to eat. Tammy had fries, while the boys had both fries and pizza. My friend was so kind to also get them some Slushy, and they enjoyed it. However, they were eager to get back to playing, but we made them wait until we were all done. Then they ran back to the ballpit, where they were having lots of fun again. Sammy was letting himself fall into the balls, laughing out loud every time. After we had all gotten out, he once started crawling in the direction of the balls, but we stopped him.
The kids wanted to go back to the other section, so we did. Once again they were climbing and sliding and spinning. I had Sammy again and helped him climb up and down stairs, then helped him going up the stairs to the top of the one slide. He was doing a great job. Once on top, I put him between my legs to slide down with him, but neither one of us was actually sliding, as it just wasn't slippery. What he really enjoyed is sitting on a turning table that I made turn, and he held on really well.
It was getting pretty late, so we finally said it was time to leave. We all put our shoes back on and took a group picture before actually leaving. Then we walked out together. It was time for good-byes which was sad, but we had spent over 3 hours there together. It was late and time to drive back to the house, where we arrived just before 9 pm. We immediately started getting them ready for bed. I still read them a book, then I prayed for them and put them to bed. Even though it was 9:30, it still took them some time to fall asleep. I was very tired myself, but got up to turn my computer on. All three were still awake at that point, and it took some time for them all to fall asleep. I started working on the many pictures of the day, but I couldn't keep my eyes open and was falling asleep. Now it's nearly 2 am, and I'm finally done. TIme for bed.
