HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1449. Once again Sammy was up early, at 6 am, and so soon everybody else was also up. Randy went upstairs with them, where their niece and nephews were getting ready to leave for their first day of school. That's when these great pictures with them were taken. After they had left, Randy gave them breakfast, but they're eating very little in the morning. They wanted to play, to go on the trampoline, where they were having fun. I was supposed to teach at 9 am, but it didn't work out. Once Randy's daughter returned, she stayed with the kids, while Randy and I left to run some errands.
We needed to go to the bank first, which took us an hour. Then we stopped at a donut place to get donuts for Randy's grand-daughter whose birthday it is tomorrow. We still had time and continued on to go to Claire's, as this could possibly have been my only chance to do this. After the kids were born, I took my earrings out of my ears as they were pulling on them. Then one day I realized that my holes had grown shut again. Now I finally had the chance to get my ears pierced again. I really wanted to do Tammy's ears at the same time, but Randy was against it.
We reached the mall, parked in the garage and found the shop. The lady was nice and said she could do it right away. I could choose a pair of earrings they would put in, piercing included in the price. My first two choices of earrings they had run out of. Then she shot them into my ears, and I didn't even feel a thing. While I had waited for her, I suddenly wondered where my wallet was, as I could not remember what I had done with it. I don't usually walk around with my wallet. I must have paled at the thought of having lost it and asked Randy to go back to the car to see whether he could find it. I had already put my camera into his hand to have him take a picture of her piercing my ears, so that's the reason that picture doesn't exist. When he returned saying he had not found it, I could feel my gut tighten. I had wanted to talk to the lady about Tammy's ears getting pierced to eleviate Randy's fears, but that was out of the question now. Plus it was high time for us to return to the house. I paid and we left.
Just before we left the shop I suddenly remembered what I had done with my wallet and was relieved. I had put it into the glove compartment, and Randy had simply not looked inside there. Thank God. We drove off to get back to the house as quickly as possible, and arrived a few minutes before 11:30. Randy's daughter and son-in-law had to leave at 11:30. And so I went outside, where they were, and sat down with the kids. They left, and the kids continued playing until noon. Then I warmed up some leftovers for us to eat. Everyone ate some food, then they wanted to play again. At 1 pm I put them to bed.
I stayed with them to help them fall asleep and left just before 1:30 to go teach my lesson. They were all asleep by then, and I was surprised that all three were still asleep, when I returned after 2:30. That's very unusual. Randy had also fallen asleep, while I just wished I could get a nap myself. It wasn't long until they woke up, and they wanted to play with the kids, but they were not home yet. And so they started playing with their tablets, while Randy left to get some icecream for the birthday girl. He decided to walk to a nearby grocery store, so he was gone for quite some time.
Sammy soon had enough of his tablet and the songs he was listening too. He constantly touched buttons he shouldn't, so that I constantly had to bring his songs back. Then he sat on the ground and started calling for the kids. He would not stop but continued calling them by name. And then they finally did come back, rather late in the day. I told them to turn their tablets off, and we all went upstairs.
All the kids were excited to see the kids. A few minutes later Randy returned. I then left them all to themselves and returned to my computer to work. Sammy was a little cranky, and so Randy played with the cars with him, which worked for a while.
Just after 6 pm dinner was ready, so I returned upstairs. Their niece was preparing her lunchbox for tomorrow and had enlistened our kids' help to get it ready. Tammy put her all into drying off the lunchbox and the glass container. She was very eager to help. Then we had dinner together. After dinner they were all ready to go off and play, but we asked them to stay. Randy brought the donuts and gave it to the birthday girl, and we sang to her. She was surprised and excited, when she saw all the donuts. We then ate some as well as some of the icecream Randy had brought. Then the kids went off to play again, while I returned to my computer.
At 7:30 pm the kids all came to our room, as the kids of the house had to get ready to go to bed. They played with their tablets until 8 pm, then it was their turn to get ready. After bathtub and story and prayer, they were all in bed by 8:45 pm. I stayed briefly with each one of them, then I got up and returned to my computer to work. Now it's 11:30 pm, and I'm the only one awake, even though my eyes keep falling shut. Time for bed.
