HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1447. Sammy was once again the one who woke up really early, though a little later than yesterday. Randy ended up going upstairs with him, while Tammy and Emmy continued sleeping next to me, one on each side. Emmy got up next, then Tammy, and they also went upstairs to have breakfast. As for me, I decided to get more rest this morning, having gone to bed at an early 11:30 pm. I had been so exhausted yesterday, and I needed to get as much rest as possible, as we had no responsibilities in the morning. And so I skipped breakfast and stayed in bed. Eventually I got up to work on the computer, but I stayed in our room.
At 11 am we got ready to leave and then got in the car to drive straight north to meet up with a family that supports us. We got there at noon, right on time. They had chosen a southern BBQ place that had a playground right outside of it. We were 13 people altogether, so they had to put some tables together for us. We adults sat on one end, and the kids on the other. Tammy and Emmy sat next to me at first, while Sammy soon moved to the other end, where the kids were, as he also wanted to sit with the kids. When the food came, he came back to sit with Daddy. Tammy and Emmy ate a little, then started fighting, and that's when I asked one of them to sit with the other kids to separate them. Soon they were having lots of fun with the children. In the meantime we adults had fun talking with each other.
Once everyone was done, we left the restaurant and walked to the playground, where the kids started playing and having fun. The kids' meals in the restaurant had been served on frisbees, so the kids started playing with it. Emmy was doing a really good job throwing and catching it. Tammy was having lots of fun playing with the girls. Sammy went into the swing at first, then also spent some time with different family members, having fun with them. And the boys played with the Dad for some time, with some toy weapons, and had lots of fun. Nobody wanted to leave, but it was getting late. We had a stranger take a group picture of us, then we gathered in a circle to pray for each other.
Then it was time to say good-bye. The kids were saying they had new best friends and were sad to leave. Tammy had our one frisbee in her hand, but Emmy wanted his own and was having a fit. One of their kids then ran after us and gave him one, which made Emmy happy.
At 3 pm we drove off to return to the house. Because of traffic, it actually took us an hour to get back. I told the kids it was nap time, which they did not like at first, but all three fell asleep quickly. Sammy woke up quickly, as usual, but slept maybe 20 minutes, which is longer than usual. Tammy woke up next, and Emmy woke up just before we pulled up at the house at 4 pm.
The kids immediately started playing with their niece and later their nephews. I went to my room to continue working on the computer. Sammy was with Daddy and with his half-sister. Randy then took the girls to a block party nearby, where they had an aircastle to jump on. Unfortunately he did not take any pictures. Sammy joined me by my computer after a while and played there next to me. When Daddy came home, he went with Daddy again. Time was passing by, and then it was dinner time. We all sat down to eat together; as usual the kids didn't eat much, but wanted to go play again. They then continued playing until 8 pm, then they came downstairs to our room.
They went into the shower, then we got them ready for bed. I read a story to them, then I prayed for them and put them to bed. Tammy and Emmy both wanted me to lie down by them, so I sat between them, giving them both a hand each. Sammy fell asleep right away, and I did not have to sit with the others for long before I was able to walk away without protests. I returned to my computer to work on the pictures and write my report. Now it's 11:15 pm, and I'm already done. Another chance to go to bed early.
