HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1445. It was our first night in a new time zone, and they were once again sleeping on new beds, on air mattresses. Sammy woke up crying in the middle of the night and fell back asleep. The second time he woke up at 4:45. We didn't know what time it was at first, and Randy gave him the tablet to listen to songs. When I saw the time, I got up and took it away, and he fell asleep again. Then he was up again at 6 am, which was 7 am in our previous time zone, so his typical time to wake up. It's all a blur, but eventually Randy went upstairs with them to give them something to eat. I was so extremely tired that I stayed in bed as long as possible. Just before 8:30 I also went upstairs to get something to eat and to sit down by the computer to get ready for my 9 am class. Before I started my lesson, everyone else left the house to go to a nearby playground. And they had lots of fun there, as the pictures testify.
After my lesson, I continued doing office work, and it wasn't long until everyone returned. They then continued having fun in the house and on the trampoline, and Sammy with his duck and tablet. They also dressed up in different clothes, which was fun,, and Emmy tried on a football helmet. At around 11 am everyone started grabbing food to eat for lunch, and so we ended up doing the same. Then they continued playing.
At 1 pm I went downstairs with them to put them to bed. I was extremely tired. Thankfully the time difference was an advantage now, and when I left just before 1:30, they were pretty much asleep. I went back upstairs to teach my 1:30 class that lasted for an hour. Before I was done teaching, Randy and Sammy came upstairs. After I was done, everyone was eager to get going. Randy's adult daughter had suggested we'd go to a waterpark, a park where water comes out of the ground. At 3:15 we all left the house.
Only to find out that it was raining. There was a chance for thunderstorms, and so the decision was made to go to Chick-Fil-A instead for them to use their playground. The disappointment was great. The restaurant wasn't far, and the kids immediately went into the playground area and started playing. We got some milkshakes for everyone, but most of the time they were in the play area.
The sun had come out again, and so Emily returned home with the boys, as they had commitments, while her oldest daughter stayed with us to go to the waterpark after all. We got there at 4:40 pm and walked a short distance to get to where the water was coming out of the ground. We took their clothes off so they only had their bathing suits on, and they ran off to play with the water and have lots of fun. I was so tired that I did no join in. After a while Emmy was the first one to say he was cold so we dried him off, then did the same with the others, and left to walk to the nearby playground. They then played there for quite some time and had lots of fun. There was also a lot of different things to do. It was probably the biggest playground I've ever seen in terms of the equipment. At 6 pm we decided it was time to go home.
When we walked back to the car, there was a bunch of wild geese on the path and the lawn. They didn't mind us and let us come pretty close. We then got into the car and drove back home, getting there at 6:30 pm. Nobody else was home. We ate the spaghetti waiting for us, then the kids continued playing. At 8:30 pm I took them to the bathroom to give them a bath, then we got them ready for bed. I read a story to them and prayed for them, then put them to bed. It was going on 9:30 pm. Tammy had cut herself under a toe and was crying about it. I stayed with her to help her fall asleep, and I also went to be with Emmy for a while. Then I sat down at the computer to work. As always, my eyes are falling shut while I write because I'm so tired. Now it's 12:45 am and time for bed.
