Day 1430. Tammy and Emmy joined us in the course of the night. I don't know what time it was, when the kids woke up. We went downstairs and had breakfast with the Mom and one of the girls. The triplets had had to take an unexpected trip that started early in the morning, so they were gone. Our kids had donuts for the first time and liked them. Soon they were up and running again, with the one girl. They opened the front door, and there was their cat who had brought them a mouse. They brought the cat inside, and the girl sat down with it and stroked her. Sammy was really excited about the cat and wanted to pet her. Emmy petted her as well. The girl ended up being so rough that the cat finally took off, which had Sammy disappointed. The Mom then came with a stuffed animal, a cat, and gave it to Sammy, which made his day, and he kept loving on it in the car. As for Emmy, he found a pair of rollerskates and put his feet in and started rolling around.  I was holding his hands for some time, then the little girl did. He did pretty well and enjoyed it. As for Tammy, she was enjoying all the crafts stuff that they had there and was cutting and glueing. They were doing all that while Randy was loading all our stuff back into the car, which takes some time. it was close to 10 am before we said our good-byes and pulled out of the driveway.

We only had 165 miles to drive today, which is less than half of what we normally do. Our plan was to not stop but just drive the 3 hours to our next destination in Indiana. We just made a stop to get gas and go to the bathroom. In the end it was after 1 pm, when we pulled into our friends' driveway.

It was corn and soybean everywhere, with farm houses in between, and we were at one of them. Our friend was right there and showed us where to park and where to go. They had renovated a barn and made it into housing, and it was really beatuiful and charming. We sat down right away to have lunch as our friend had it ready and waiting for us. The kids had already eaten chips in the car to hold them over until our late lunch, so they ate rather little. We were talking with our friend, but it was time to put the kids to bed, as it was 2 pm already. Plus, I had a lesson to teach at 3:30 pm. I took them to their room that was right next to ours and put the boys in one bed, and Tammy in the other. Then I started singing to get them to sleep. Eventually Tammy and Sammy fell asleep, but Emmy ws still awake. As he was making noise, I finally moved him to our bed in   our room, but he still would not go to sleep, even though he was looking so very tired. I had my computer on by then and was trying to prepare my 3:30 lesson, but it was hard. I finally gave up and left with my computer, asking Randy to sit down with him.

I went downstairs to sit at a desk and prepare for my 3:30 student, then stayed there for the lesson. I could hear the kids waking up upstairs before my lesson was over. Once I was done, I went upstairs and started putting their swimsuits on. Then we started walking in the direction of the pool, walking by a trampoline and a playground that they had to check out, of course. Then we reached the pool and went in. It was really nice. The kids were having lots of fun,  but Sammy soon said that he was cold and left the water again. The other kids continued playing and were also playing with two girls that were also in the water. It was getting really windy, and there were dark clouds in the sky. We had already driven in rain today, and it had rained really hard then. It never started raining in the afternoon. We still came otu of the water at some point and started walking back the way we had come. The kids were enjoying the trampolin and playground again, then looked at the chickens and the corn before returning to our rooms to put clean clothes on. Then we walked to the main house to join the family for dinner. We had fun talking and eating with them. There was a little dog, but it would not stand still to be petted, much to Sammy's disappointment. However, Sammy had picked a 15-year-old boy to be the recipient of his affection who unfortunately did not want that affection. It was hilarious to watch Sammy trying to get to him, while the boy tried to get away from him. The other two kids were also having lots of fun with the other kids. By 8:30 pm we told them it was time for bed, and we returned to our rooms.

We got them ready for bed, which took some time, then I put them to bed after having prayed for them. It became clear that the boys could not sleep together, so I put Sammy on the floor first, then it was Emmy who was on the floor and Sammy on top. But they were still all awake long after 9 pm. Randy then sat down by them, but Sammy was still talking. Eventually they did all fall asleep.

I got my computer out and started working. However, my eyes soon started falling shut, and have been doing so for the past 2+ hours, which is the the reason I'm still not done, and it's 1:15 am. I'm so very tired.
