Day 1422. Some time after 7 am the boys were up, and Emmy was eager for all of us to get up. Tammy was still in bed, and her body was hot. Last week it was Sammy who had a fever for a few days, today Tammy had one all day long, and it really affected her. We had breakfast, then they stayed upstairs with Randy, while I went back downstairs for my 9 am student. I taught until 10 am, then went back upstairs after having spent a few more minutes working. At 11 am we left the house to drive to church.

We got there a few minutes late and were picked up from the parking lot by the guy responsible for missionaries who took us to the prayer room, where the church staff was praying. We then walked inside after having taken our shoes off and were welcomed and asked to sit on chairs in the middle of the room so everyone could pray for us. I sat down with Tammy on one end, and Randy with Sammy on the other, while Emmy had a chair to himself between us. Then everyone started praying for us, and it didn't take long for the tears to flow as God touched my heart. Tammy was in my arms, not feeling well. They prayed for about 15 minutes, then the meeting was over. We put our shoes back on and went to a room in the back to have lunch with the main pastor, who is also the one who married Randy and me. We had mediterranean food, and the kids didn't care for it. Sammy was pretty cranky, so Randy had his hands full with him. Emmy was enjoying the toys in the room, while Tammy was lying down for much of the time. In the meantime I got to talk to the pastor, which was a blessing. Finally it became obvious that it was time to go back to the house to put them down for their nap. We said our good-byes, and Randy had to carry Tammy to the car.

By 2 pm we were back at the house, and I put them straight to bed for their nap, and they all fell asleep pretty fast. I set a 30-minute timer and lay down myself.

It was a rough awakening, when my alarm went off at 2:45 pm. I grabbed my computer and went downstairs to the kitchen to get ready for my 3:30 pm class. I taught until 4:30 pm, then went upstairs. At 5 pm we left the house for a 45-minute drive east to meet with a friend. Before we left, we gave Tammy a suppository to lower the fever so she could enjoy the evening at least a little, and she did.

We arrived at the cute, little restaurant our friend had picked at 6 pm. It was great to see her again. We had a table right next to the kids' playroom that the kids immediately walked into to play. In the meantime I looked at the menu and ordered food for all of us. It was really good! And I greatly enjoyed catching up with my friend. Randy was mostly with Sammy at first, playing with him in the room. I took quite some time before the food finally came, and Sammy was pretty hungry. But then he really enjoyed the fries, chicken strips and pasta. Tammy was happy about the pasta, and Emmy about the fries and chicken. They ate some, then returned to the room to play. And then they came back to us and first it was Emmy who asked our friend to read to him, then Tammy did as well. Our friend didn't even get to eat, but took her food home with her to eat. I had Sammy and let him watch children's songs because he was so cranky. Another time I handed him to Karla, and he stopped whining and smiled at her instead.

We had been there for nearly 2 hours, when we left. Our friend was still inviting us to have icecream at a little place around the corner that we followed her too. It was already 8 pm by then. We got some icecream and sat down at a table to eat it. Tammy liked the rainbow sun umbrellas, and they all liked the mural of the dog eating icecream. I was feeding Sammy who was the first one to finish his icecream. Emmy dropped his cup THREE times. The first time it turned over and ended up becoming "Rocky Road" icecream, as Randy said, as it had a gravel topping on it. He removed the gravel, and Emmy continued eating.

As it was getting pretty late, we got up as soon as we were done and said our good-byes. It was 8:30 pm, when we left, and we got back to the house at 9:15 pm, so really late. I got them ready for bed as quickly as possible, and half an hour they were all in bed. Tammy and Sammy fell asleep right away, Emmy needed a little more time. I left him before he was asleep and turned my computer on to start working on today's pictures and write my report. I was so very tired that my eyes were falling shut, while I was trying to work. I finally kept them closed for a few minutes, and then I was able to go on. Now it's 12:30 am, and I'm gonna join the sleeping tribe, as it's another long day tomorrow.
