HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1416. Thanks to a suppository Samuel slept well after we gave it to him late at night. But he was still the first one up this morning, at 7 am. I had gone to bed at 1 am and was very tired, but as Sammy was not happy, I moved him to our bed, and of course Emmy was up as well because of the noise. It didn't take Tammy long to also wake up. And soon they were asking for food, so we all got up and left the room to have breakfast.
Our friend was already in the kitchen, and we soon sat down to eat. I was getting ready for my lessons from 9 to 11, but then the first lesson was canceled, which gave me needed time to catch up on office work. Our friends went to the playground with Randy and the kids again, and today they took pictures. Sammy was still sick, so he was not enjoying it very much. The other two had lots of fun.
Because of the heat they returned just after 11 am, and our friends started cooking right away, so that we sat down to eat quite a bit before noon. Sammy ate little and didn't look too great; he was visibly tired. Unfortunately the other two haven't been eating much either; I guess it's all the food they're not used to eating. After lunch, they got their tablets, and Randy left with one of our friends to go see "Sound of Freedom" and make a stop at the bank. Our other friend spent some time with Sammy. In fact, Sammy has been calling her name a lot, more than the dog's now.
At 1:30 I put them to bed for their nap. Sammy was calling for Daddy and broke into tears, when I told him he was not there. I comforted him, and thankfully he fell asleep quickly once he had calmed down. Emmy fell asleep next, and Tammy needed the longest. Just before 2 pm I lay down myself and fell asleep.
Once again it was Sammy who was up first and woke me up at about 2:30 pm. I took him out of the room, as he was asking for our friend, but she had also laid down for a nap and was not there. I played with him, then woke up his siblings, as they were still sleeping. I let them have the tablets again and sat down to do office work. Then our friend rejoined us and played with Sammy. She showed him the ice and water coming out of the fridge, and as it involved both water and buttons, he loved it. I took a picture of them from the top, where the desk is that I'm working on.
Sammy now kept asking for Daddy all the time, and we told him he'd be back soon. To distract him, and because it was a good time for that, I asked him whether he wanted to call anyone, and he wanted to call Grandma and Sonja. So we called Grandma, but Sammy was not that impressed as he was not feeling well and wanted Daddy. Then we called Sonja, and I asked the other two kids to put their tablets down for a few minutes to talk to her. Tammy ran away instead of giving it to me. After we had hung up, I took the tablet away, as I had done with Emmy's, and she had a fit again, screaming and trying to hurt me, which she did. I ended up locking her out, on the porch, and she was hitting on the glass door to come back in. I left her there for a few minutes, then opened the door, and she calmed down and let me hold her. There was no more tablets for either Tammy or Emmy the rest of the day.
It was pretty late, some time after 4:30 pm, that Daddy finally returned. Sammy was so happy and just held his Daddy tight, not letting go of him. We then got ready to go swimming in the lake again, and Sammy said that he wanted to go as well. We put their swimsuits on and ours and walked down to the lake. The kids were having lots of fun, also thanks to the swimming platform that they could walk on and jump off of. After some time Sammy had had enough and was cold, even though the water was very warm, and today it was Randy who took Sammy back to the house. The rest of us continued playing for a while. Then I heard Sammy cry for me, so I left them and returned to the house, and a little while later, Randy went to the lake to bring the other two kids back to the house.
Once we were all showered and dressed, it was dinner time, and once again it was hard to get them to eat properly. Then they started playing with the toys our friends have. Sammy was getting more and more tired. At 8:30 I put them all to bed; Sammy fell asleep immediately. As for the other two, I still read them a good-night story, prayed for all three, and then lay down with them, in such a way that they could both have a part of me. Tammy fell asleep next, but Emmy was still wide awake, when I got up. When I tried to leave the room, he was not happy. He was asking for Daddy to come and stay with him, which he did. As for me, I sat back down at my computer to work. I'm glad I've made some good progress on the office work now.
And now it's nearly midnight, and just maybe I can be in bit a little earlier for once.
