HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1399. At 3 am Emmy came to me and lay down next to me for a few minutes. Usually he then returns to his bed. It was the first night that he had fallen asleep on the top of the new bed, but at 3 am he wanted to go back down to his previous bed sitting on the bottom. Tonight he slept on the bottom from the beginning. He's still scared of sleeping so high up there, scared of falling off. As for Tammy, she never came to our bed last night, which has been more the exception than the norm.
Emmy was up early as usual. After breakfast we got ready to leave the house, which we did just after 9:30 to take the 9:50 train. After we got off the train, we took the tram for two stops, then walked to the swimming pool. It was the last swim class and the very last class before our trip on Wednesday. We got there earlier than usual, and so Tammy and Emmy jumped into the baby pool until the previous class was over. The water was really cold, too cold for Sammy, so I held him tight.
Once the class started, Sammy had to go into the cold water, and he was not having fun today for most of the time. Even though we played ball today. They were sitting on the edge of the pool and had to throw it into the water, then jump into the water, swim to it, and swim back to the edge of the pool to do it all over again. She was also doing different exercises practicing swimming on their backs and moving their legs up and down both on their bellies and their backs. The half-hour class was over in no time at all.
It was not as hot today as last Sunday, but the kids still wanted to go outside after class. Sammy was trembling because he was so cold, but so were also the others at first. In the sun we quickly heated up, though. Randy held Sammy for a while, while the other too started playing in the water playground. They loved the slide and kept going up and down, especially Emmy. Once Tammy agreed to go down with Emmy at the same time, their fun increased exponentially. They also enjoyed the area right next to the pool, where water was coming out of the ground.
After some time I took Sammy and started having fun with him. He had finally warmed up and also wanted to have a little fun, so I took him to the water coming out of the ground, which he has always enjoyed, and he did.
They were getting hungry, and contrary to last week, we did not want to stay that long and had lunch waiting at home, as I had made a soup last night. It was after noon, when we walked inside to get dressed again and then left to walk back to the tram that took us to the train. We took the 12:31 train and were home by 12:45. I quickly warmed up the soup, and we sat down to eat. They then had icecream, and then it was already nap time. Everyone slept in their new bed. I was able to walk away rather quickly.
After some time I also lay down and fell asleep. I have no idea how much sleep I got until Emmy walked into the room, but he was up rather early, as usual. And then Randy put Sammy in bed with me. I soon got up, as there was work for us to do. The kids got on their tablets, while Sammy got his story-telling headset and kept taking chips/stories out and putting new ones in, something he loves doing. After some time he went to Alexa, sitting by it on the ground, and touching the touch screen, which he also enjoys doing. I was trying to get things done on the computer, but I constantly had to get up to usually help Sammy who always needs attention, and so I wasn't getting much done. Randy was working on moving two shelves to a new location, now that we have the bed up. It was Day 6 of the changes upstairs, and it's still not quite done. But the only thing left to do is to get the stickers off the wall and then put the whiteboard up.
After Randy was done with the shelves, he finally went downstairs with the kids for not even an hour. During that time I was cleaning up and tidying up and putting everything into its spot. I was also working on the pantry. It's so nice to have that much room now, which we really needed.
By 6:30 the kids were back upstairs, and I started making their dinner. Sammy stayed with me, so I fed him right there, while the other two were at the table. Then they went into the bathtub, where they continued eating. After we had put their pj's on, we let them watch Superbook for a short time, then it was time for a Bible story and a prayer, and I put them to bed. It was going on 9 pm by then. And then Emmy suddenly said he did not want to sleep on top but on the bottom, so I let him go to the bottom. Then Tammy suddenly said she wanted to go to the bottom too, but there was no room there, and I knew that she had no issues sleeping on top, so I said no. She had a fit, and I ended up crawling up there to lie down next to her. I held her for a while, while she was calming down, and then went back down. I stayed for a few minutes to sing to them, upon Sammy's request, then left before they were asleep. However, they have no issue with us not being there like before. Maybe because they were closer to the kitchen, where Daddy sits. I got myself something to eat and went back to work. Because of the "remodeling" I have not had the time I had expected for office work, so I'm starting to panic a little in light of all that I have yet to get done before we leave Wednesday morning. Now it's 1:30 am and time to finish in the kitchen so I can go to bed.
