HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 662. Last night it was 2 am before I made it to bed, and it will be at least that late tonight. This morning we got up at 8 am, and it was once again Emmy who made all the noise to get us out of bed. I made their breakfast, and we sat down to eat, but they didn't eat very much, and Tammy was really cranky. I had been telling them that Grandma was coming, and Emmy had been saying "Oma" quite a bit. We ended up staying upstairs until she arrived at 9 am. That way they were right there at the door greeting her.
We all went downstairs, where it was time to play. Randy took advantage of us both being with them and ran some errands.
We had lots of fun as always. Grandma read books to all three of them, and they had fun with the ball. Just before 11 am I went upstairs to start cooking. Emmy did his thing again, where he stands at the exit out of the play area and just screams for me. Grandma finally opened the door, and they all came upstairs. Sammy was so very tired that I had already put him to bed at 10:30, once again. And surprisingly all the noise they made in the kitchen with me did not wake him up. Grandma was holding one baby, and I was holding the other for much of the time, as possible. Grandmas was so kind to stay until Randy returned, as I could not have cooked without her there to help keep them happy and at bay. The little ones were not happy, when she left.
But at 11:30 Sonja arrived, which made them happy. A few minutes later we sat down to eat, and the noise had finally woken up Sammy. Tammy had her appetite back today, but Emmy ate little. Tammy's cough is pretty much gone now, but her nose is a little runny. Emmy did not even eat the chicken, which he usually loves eating. And he was really cranky. I cleaned him up, dressed him, and Sonja went downstairs with him, while I was dealing with a really cranky Tammy, cleaning her up and dressing her. She was so cranky that I put her straight to bed, even though it was only 12:30, so about half an hour earlier than usual. At first she was very upset, but then she lay down and fell asleep quickly. I then went to get Emmy and put him to bed, so today the order was reversed. He also fell asleep quickly. So Sammy had Sonja all to himself.
I was glad they went to bed early, as we needed to leave the house at 2:20 pm. And I was also glad that Emmy was sleeping long today. I was able to clean up and get everything ready for our trip, and at 2 pm I asked Randy to feed Sammy. The noise of that woke them up, but it was time for them to get up anyway. Since they usually don't eat much, and Tammy does not eat right away, we just dressed them and put them into the strollers and gave them snacks on the subway. It's good that Sammy had his meal.
We left on time and had to take two subways. It was a very hot day, and both trains were old ones with no air conditioning, so it was unbearable hot, especially with the face mask. Sammy loves saying "heiß" (hot) all day long anyway, and it was very fitting on the train. After we got off, we had to wait for the bus which would take us up the mountain, and it took another 20 minutes or so to get there. They were getting pretty antsy, as the trip took nearly an hour, crossing all of Vienna. We had both Tammy and Emmy out of the strollers and on our laps.
When we got off the bus at 4:30, our friend was already waiting for us there. She had been to the petting zoo with her son many times before, but we had never been there yet. And everyone had a great time.
The first animals we saw were cows. As usual, Emmy was very fearful, even though the cows were at quite a distance behind the fence. He hardly ever was on the ground and is on few pictures, as he did not want to get close to any animals.
Next we went to the rabbits, and for me that was the best part. For Tammy as well. You could go inside their area, and there were dozens and dozens of rabbits all over the place. Tammy loves rabbits, so she was in paradise. She was running around, chasing them, petting them, and feeding them with the animal feed we had bought coming in. She kept trying to give them stones and soil, so Daddy was trying to get her to take animal feed and showed her how to feed them. She loved it! Emmy on the other hand was on my or Sonja's arm, too afraid to get close to them. Sammy enjoyed them too and petted them.
Next we passed by ducks and went to the sheep. Again Tammy was fearless and fed the sheep with Daddy's help. Then there were chickens, and then goats. There was a bench by the goats that we sat down on, and they had some snacks. We must have left the snack bag there, as we discovered later that it was gone. When we moved on, Tammy fed some more goats, and then we saw the turkeys, which were Sammy's favorite animals. Next came geese, but they were mostly just sitting around. As we moved on, there were some chickens running around on the path that they looked at and tried to feed.
There was a cute little bench, and I thought it would be perfect for a new triplet picture. It was not easy to get all three to look at the camera and smile at the same time, and I can't make up my mind which picture I like best. The one I picked is the new cover photo.
It was getting late, and we had a long ride home, and so we said our goodbyes to my friend and walked back to the bus stop. I was carrying Sammy who did not want to get into the stroller. Waiting at the bus stop, he and Sonja had the greatest time with each other, and the uploaded video is a must-see. Once the bus arrived, I put him into the stroller. Once on the bus, Emmy and Tammy ended up sitting on our laps again.
After the bus, we had two subways to take, and they all stayed in the strollers. It was 6 pm, when we got home, and instead of them going downstairs, they sat down at the dining room table right away, while I warmed up some leftovers and added fruit. They had had some snacks over the course of the afternoon, and it did not eat too much. Then they went into the bathtub, where they once again started playing with the faucet. Daddy does not like that though and put the shower head right there, which was enough for Emmy to run away and keep his distance. But it did not keep Tammy from turning the water on and off and playing with it. After a while, we got Emmy out first who was tired and cranky, and then the others, and just after 7 pm they were all in bed, just as usual, but they were sure really tired after a long day. Sammy fell asleep right away, but then Emmy was so cranky that I ended up sitting down in the chair by their beds. Emmy fell asleep next, and after a while Tammy was gone too. I left to get something to eat and start working on the pictures. There were only 294 of them today. That's why I have not uploaded the petting zoo pictures yet. That's left for tomorrow. I did the cleanup from midnight to 1 am, and then started writing. Even Emmy had his milk much later than usual today, at 12:30 am. Now it's after 2 am, so it's gonna be a pretty short night tonight. And by the way, nobody had a fever today.
