Day 660. Last night I could hear Sammy a lot, and I usually don't hear him at all all night. At 3 am he started crying hard, and we ended up giving him something to lower the fever, as he had it now too. Unfortunately he woke up his siblings. That's not a problem with Tammy, but it is with Emmy. At first he wanted me to hold him, then he wanted me to stay by his bed. I finally left anyway. He cried for a while, but stopped faster than I had anticipated.

In the morning it was also him who started crying first, around 7 am. I picked him up and lay down with him, but he did not want to sleep any more. Sammy was cranky, so I got him too, and then I got Tammy as well, when she started to fuss. They all love being in our bed, so it was fun, even though we were tired. At 7:30 we ended up getting up. I made their breakfast, but once again they did not eat much.

I had to call the hospital to cancel Sammy's physiotherapy session, but I didn't know that Sonja's phone was broken, so that she did not receive my message that she did not need to come early. So at 8:30 she arrived, and Tammy and Emmy, who were ready to go downstairs, greeted her at the door. They always light up with joy, when they see her, and often even squeal. We took them downstairs, where Sonja played with them, while I went upstairs to clean up and then work. I was tired, but I was able to get work done.

Both Emmy and Sammy had a fever - Emmy's second and Sammy's first day - while Tammy's fever was gone. However, she's been coughing all day, even now in her sleep. Emmy's and Sammy's fever never went as high as hers had been. Randy put Sammy to bed before 10:30 and he slept until lunch at 11:30. He also put him to bed after the afternoon meal, when he slept a little over an hour.

At 11:30 everyone came upstairs to eat. However, once again Tammy and Emmy hardly touched their food. They did eat some fruit and snacks, but it wasn't much.

Sonja then had all three with her downstairs, while I was cleaning up and Randy was making omelets for everyone. At 12:40 I put Emmy to bed, and he fell asleep fast. Then I put Tammy to bed, and it didn't take her long either. Then Sammy had Sonja all to himself.

I was feeling terrible and was wondering whether it was from two rough nights in a row, or whether I was sick. I started working after eating, but it was hard. Randy ran to the grocery store. When Emmy woke up first, he didn't want to sleep any longer, so I took him downstairs to Sonja. I fell asleep, unable to work, and woke up when Tammy did. I picked her up, and called the others upstairs for the afternoon meal.

Today Tammy ate some food at this meal, but Emmy didn't want to. And Sammy showed us that he can nod now. He's not shaking his head yet, which his siblings could do before they could nod. It was so cute. I have a little video I have uploaded. Sammy's favorite word has been "heiß" (hot), which he says all the time now.

After the meal, Tammy and Emmy went downstairs and Sammy to bed. As for me, my eyes and head were hurting, and I could barely function. I couldn't do anything but lie down, and fell asleep. It's the best thing I could have done. I felt so much better after waking up, and went downstairs at 5 pm. I was glad to stilll have half an hour to play with my little ones.

Emmy and Tammy have been enjoying this box greatly the last few days. When I came downstairs, both were sitting right next to each other inside it, and looking out through the "door". They had no problem opening and closing the door to their house. Unfortunately I missed a great picture at that point. They had so much fun with the box. Sitting inside it, and crawling under it, as well has it being upright like a house. They were all three rather cranky, which was challenging, and I was once again so thankful that we have Sonja to help us.

At 5:30 I had to leave them to get dinner ready, and at 6 pm they came upstairs to eat. Again, Tammy and Emmy did not eat all their food. And for the second time, they enjoyed turning the water in the bathtub on and off, laughing hilarously when they did. I kept my eyes on them to make sure they didn't change the water temperature to hot. After a while I tried to ask them to stop, but they didn't want to. I finally held the faucet down so they could not turn the water on, and they were not happy. Randy had to get a crying Emmy out of the bathtub, and the others came out as well. After I put them all to bed, Tammy wanted me to stay, so I sat down for a while. The boys fell asleep fast.

In the course of the evening, I had to pick up Emmy twice and sit down with him clinging to me. After I had held him for a while, he let me put him back to bed, and I was able to walk away after a few minutes. I'm really hoping that tonight is a "normal" night, where I can sleep until the morning.
