Day 658. It's midnight, and I'm very tired and will be going to bed after this. This morning we got up at 8 am, even though I'd heard Emmy for a while. His pant diaper was hanging way down, full of poop, and so his hands were dirty. It didn't work out as well as expected.
Tammy's body was hot again, which was disappointing, as she'd done so well yesterday. After breakfast I took them downstairs where we were worshiping God and praying. When Sammy arrived, we all sat down to read the Bible together. Once Randy arrived, I left them to go upstairs to work. Randy gave Tammy a fever medication, and she had another one in the afternoon, once the fever was back.
At 10:45 I went to the kitchen to start cooking pork chops, sauerkraut and dumplings. At 11:30 it was ready, and everyone came upstairs to eat. They loved the pork and ate it fast. For some reason they did not like the sauerkraut, which they usually do, and they did like the dumpling. But the pork was their favorite.
After lunch I took them downstairs, where we played until Randy arrived, who put Sammy to bed first. Then I went to clean up. At 12:40 I put Emmy to bed, and a few minutes later the girl. And then things were different today.
Emmy woke up first, after about an hour, and would not go back to sleep, so he went downstairs with Randy. And then Tammy was already up about half an hour after falling asleep. That was way too short, but I could not get her to fall back asleep. I finaly took her downstairs as well, after having taken Sammy downstairs.
We were all five of us downstairs for a while. It's tough when they're cranky. And Emmy always wants to get his will, and wants to have what his sister has, or do what she does. Tammy was sitting in the baby swing today, when he came and pushed her out, so he could sit down in it.
I was really tired, but they hadn't been outside in a few days. Because of Tammy's fever, we knew we couldn't go to church today. I thought of taking the boys to the closest playground, while Randy stayed home with Tammy, but as you can imagine, she was not gonna go for that, and so we all headed to the playground at about 4 pm. And the all had fun there.
After about an hour we left to go back home. They all went downstairs, while I stayed upstairs for the few minutes until it was time to start making their dinner. At 6 pm I called them upstairs to eat. Then they went into the bathtub and to bed. For the first time in days I did no have to come back after saying good night, but they all fell asleep quietly.
I went straight to work cleaning up, while we were waiting for the ordered food to arrive. Then we sat down to eat and watch a movie together. It was after the movie I gave him the drawing the kids had made for Father's Day, as well as a mug. In Austria Father's Day was today.
And now it's after midnight and I cannot keep my eyes open any more, so I'm heading to bed.
