Day 657. Last night I made it to bed by 12:30 am. This morning I already heard Emmy at 7, and finally got up at 7:30, as the way he was crying made me think something was up, and I was right. He had taken his poop diaper off and thrown it into Sammy's bed. It was lying right next to Sammy; thankfully he wasn't touching it. Emmy was startled, when he noticed me, as he was fingering around where the diaper had been. Later in the day we bought a pack of pant diapers; hopefully he'll still have that one on tomorrow morning.

When I picked up Tammy, she was very warm, which was disheartening. It looked like she was gonna have another miserable day of being sick. She did not eat much for breakfast, and I had to keep her on my lap for her to eat. Then I took them downstairs, where I turned the worship music on to worship God and pray. When Sammy arrived, we opened the kids Bible and read stories together. Once Randy arrived, I said my goodbyes and went upstairs to work. Tammy was lying on his chest again, and I gave him the fever-lowering medication, which he gave her. It would be 2 pm before she could have another one.

I cleaned up and started doing office work. At 10:30 Randy put Sammy down for a nap again, as he was tired. The girl was fine after the medication. We had leftovers today so I worked until just before 11:30, and then warmed up their food. Sammy was starting to wake up, probably also because of the noise, and so I called everyone upstairs to eat. Sonja had already come at 9:30 today to help because of Tammy being sick, which was really kind of her. She was feeding them, while I was getting the adults' food ready. However, neither Tammy nor Emmy ate much today, the same way they hadn't when we ate the first bath two days ago. They used to like this food a lot, but it looks like they don't any more. I was surprised that Tammy's body was not hot at all but normal temperature, even though it had been a while since the medication. And imagine that, God answered your prayers, because the fever never came back. She was fine! Praise God! This fever was sure weird, as she had no other symptoms, and nobody else had anything wrong with them.

After they were done eating, I cleaned them and dressed them. A package with primarily food for them had arrived, and Tammy and Emmy were curiously unpacking it. Then we took them downstairs, all three of them, where Sonja played with them. I was cleaning up, and at 12:40 I put Emmy to bed at his regular time. Once he was asleep, I put Tammy to bed, and she fell asleep quickly as well. Sammy stayed downstairs with Sonja, and never had another nap.

I went back to work, and Randy did a quick run to the grocery store. When Emmy woke up, he did not want to lie down with me, so I took him downstairs. Tammy was stirring too, so I picked her up, but as she'd only slept one hour so far and she usually sleeps 2, I lay down with her, and she fell asleep again on my chest. I was tired myself. She slept another 90 minutes on me, so 2.5 hours total. At 3 pm I texted Randy to feed the boys. Sonja was feeding Emmy downstairs, and Randy brought Sammy upstairs to feed him in his chair. When he was done feeding him and took him to the changing table, which is right next to where we were lying, the noise finally woke Tammy up. Randy took Sammy back downstairs, while I put some food into Tammy's mouth, while she was on my arm. Her body was still not hot, but normal temperature, which was encouraging. Once she was done, I took her downstairs.

I found Emmy sitting in a big box and having fun. I stayed a little bit, and when they were all occupied and happy, I left to go upstairs to work a little bit longer. Half an hour later I came back down to play with them for one hour until I had to leave to make their dinner.

And we had lots of fun. Emmy was still playing with the box, which was now upright and his house. He'd go inside and close the "doors", saying bye-bye, and then come out saying hello. It was hilarious! I've uploaded a little video clip.

And then he sat down inside the box again, and Tammy as well, and I told them they were in a boat and started pushing and pulling the box back and forth, as their boat was moving on the water. They were enjoying it. And then we made it into a submarine, when I put the box on top of my head. Emmy joined me under it, and then Tammy as well, and the three of us took a submarine ride.

Then we set up a table, got some paper and the crayons out, and they did some drawing. Emmy is the one who is the best at it.

The hour went by fast, and I went upstairs to make their food, while Randy took my place downstairs. At 6:10 pm they came upstairs to eat.

And they did not eat much today, and did not finish their food in the bathtub. Sammy ate most of his. Emmy finally discovered how to turn the water on in the bathtub. In the past he's always been scared of it, but not today, on the contrary. He was laughing out loud whenever he'd turn the water on, and Tammy did as well. They were having the time of their life turning the water on and off, while I was watching like a hawk, making sure they kept it at a normal temperature. I wished I could have done a video, as much fun as they were having, but I was holding Sammy and feeding him.

Finally Emmy came out first, and the others right away as well. I put them to bed and walked away, and decided to do the cleanup right away. It got quiet quickly. When I returned, the boys were sleeping, but the girl wanted Mommy to be there, so I sat down by her bed and stayed for a while before leaving again. I went to the balcony where I enjoyed the quiet and the breeze for a while, before going back inside to eat and work again. Now it's after midnight, and I'm really tired. Thank you for praying Tammy back to health!
