HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 656. Last night it was just after 2 am before I made it to bed, so I'm tired tonight. And not just because of that, but because Tammy has been sick today, and Emmy cranky.
Nothing seemed out of the ordinary this morning, even though I did notice that Tammy felt warmer than usual. She ate breakfast just like any other day, and we went downstairs to worship God and dance, and read the Bible together, once Sammy joined us. Then I went upstairs to work.
At some point Randy came with Tammy, saying that she was sick, and I measured her fever, which was 38.1 that first time. She was didn't want to do anything, was cranky and just lying on Daddy. Sammy was also just crying, and so we decided to put them both to bed, and both ended up sleeping.
Being that it was Friday, I called the pediatrician who told me to give her something against the fever. She had 38.5 degree fever, when we did, after she woke up from her nap. Within minutes she felt better.
Today we were gonna use up jars, and I just cooked some meat to go with the vegetable jars. While Tammy did not want to go into her chair, she ate well while on my lap. Of course Emmy was jealous and wanted to be on my lap as well. By the way, he's now said "vetilate", a 4-syllable word, for "Ventilator" (fan), but only one time.
After having cleaned them up and dressed again, all three went downstairs, where Randy stayed with them, while I was cleaning up. At 12:40 I went to get Emmy and put him to bed, and he fell asleep quickly. He had to sleep all by himself today. And Randy had no break, as he had the other two with him.
Emmy once again slept long, without waking up early, and once he was up at 2:30, I called the others upstairs to eat. Tammy ate while on my lap, while Emmy was in his chair and jealous. Then it was time for Tammy and Sammy to get a nap, and Emmy went downstairs with Randy. Tammy was starting to feel worse again, and some of the food came back out of her mouth. She fell asleep, as did her brother. She woke up a while later and vomitted a little, and I took her downstairs to Randy. She then lay on Randy, where she fell asleep, and Randy eventually did as well. The medication had worn off, but there had to be 6 hours between them. Once Sammy woke up, I took him downstairs as well.
I'd heard Emmy quite a bit, who was cranky. He was basically on his on, with Tammy lying on Randy, and Sammy sleeping. I came down to be with him a few times, and once Sammy was up, I stayed with them and played with them. Emmy kept pointing at his sister saying "aua" (ouch). He understood that she was not well and did not have his playmate. I kept telling him that Jesus was gonna make her well.
At 5:30 I had to leave them, which was a little tricky with Tammy sleeping on Randy, as there were to other children. She woke up anyway and we gave her another fever pill. She had a 39.1 degree fever at that point.
At 6 pm they came upstairs to eat. The pill was working, and so she ate her favorite, water melon, and the soup, but not much else. Then they went into the bathtub, where they continued eating. Tammy did have some fun, and ate most of her bread and some fruit, but was the first one to get out of the water. Then the others came out, we brushed their teeth, dressed them, and I put them to bed. As I had expected, Sammy was wide awake, having had two naps today and more sleep during the day than he's had in a long time. He was the last one to fall asleep. At first I walked away, but I returned when Emmy was crying, and Tammy wanted me to be there too, so I ended up sitting down by their beds. By the time I left they were sleep, except for Sammy.
Randy had left after I had put them to bed to get another travel cot so we can start traveling and can simply put up beds for them wherever we are. We bought them all second hand. As for me, I made my food and ate, and then went back to work. Now it's midnight, and as tired as I am, I'm planning on heading to bed shortly.
