HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 654. When I go to bed, I look at the time, but by the next night I have often forgotten what time it was. I think it was about 1:30 last night. Sammy needed some milk before I went to bed, which has become rare, maybe every 10 days. Tammy doesn't need any, and Emmy cries for it every night around 11 pm. I still have a little bit of baby milk left, but won't buy any more after that.
This morning we got up at our regular 8 am time, and it was Emmy I was hearing. This has actually been a tough day, with lots of crying from everyone, who knows why. Maybe because it's suddenly so very hot.
I always get them out of bed first, and then go to the kitchen to make their breakfast. Emmy is usually with me, helping me unload the dishwasher, and sometimes Tammy joins in as well. When I walked back to the baby beds, there were Tammy and Sammy on the floor, covered in the freshly washed clothes that had been lying on the dresser to be put away. They sure look guilty on the picture!
After breakfast, I took them downstairs where we worshipped God and danced, and then sat down to read the Bible, when Randy brought Sammy down. Once Randy came to stay, I grabbed my computer and went upstairs to first clean up and then work. Now they wave at me with a smile on their faces, when I leave in the morning - but only in the morning.
Today I heard quite a bit of crying while working already, and Emmy was still crying, when I went to the kitchen before 11 am to cook. Randy tells me that he stands by the exit from their area crying as loud as he can to get my attention so I come down to get him, which I do sometimes. I was cooking and knew that Emmy would want to be in my arms, which makes cooking hard. Once I had done the part where I needed both hands, and since Emmy was STILL crying, I went downstairs, picked him up, and took him to the kitchen with me. As you can imagine, Tammy did not like at all that she had to stay back.
It looks like Emmy is gonna become the chef in the house, as it's always him joining me in the kitchen. I put one of the high chairs we're not using into the kitchen, so he could reach the counter. He was very curious, and when I got the big spoon to stir the soup, he insisted on doing it. It all worked out well. It was after 11:30 before I called the others up to eat.
After they were done eating and were clean and dressed again, I took them downstairs myself, as Sammy was far from ready. I played with them downstairs, while waiting for Randy to have put Sammy to bed and come down to take my place. Then I went upstairs to clean up, and then continued the office work. I put Emmy to bed at his regular 12:40 time, and he was asleep quickly, and then put Tammy to bed.
Sammy always wakes up after sleeping for about an hour, so way earlier than the others. I picked him up and put him next to where I was working, and was interacting with him. A while later Randy picked him up and went downstairs with him.
And this was the second day in a row where Emmy did not wake up early, wanting to be picked up to continue sleeping. At about 2:30 he woke up, and I took him downstairs to the other boys. I continued working, waiting for Tammy to wake up, and then went to the kitchen to make their bread with peanut butter and cut up their fruit. At about 3 pm we sat down at the table to eat. Tammy once again did not want to sit in her chair, so she ended up on my lap and ate their. Not much at first, but she ate it all later, after I had left with Emmy. Emmy was eating his food, and then I put some shorts and a sleeveless shirt on him, and at 3:15 we left the house. Once again Tammy was crying because she was left behind.
This time Emmy rode on the tricycle, instead of just taking him, and it worked out well. We went one stop on the subway, and then took the bus for a few stops. Emmy loves pushing all the elevator buttons, and I let him do it. On the bus he sat on my lap, and once on the street, I put him back on the tricycle. We went to the pharmacy, where I got my test done, picked up a few things, and went back to the bus stop. 45 minutes after leaving the house we were back home.
We went downstairs to join the others. Like I mentioned, they were all cranky, and so I ended up staying with them, and Randy left. At about 5 pm we switched, and I worked until 5:30 before going to the kitchen to make their dinner. At 6 pm they came upstairs to eat, then they went into the bathtub, where they finished their food, and then to bed. Tonight I turned their ceiling fan on, as it was really warm. I'm glad I've just received the ordered summer pajamas for them. It took Emmy and Tammy a while, and I had to come back to their beds once, but then they fell asleep more easily than most of the time.
I got my food ready, ate, and went back to work. I've done all the housework, but still have some office work I'd like to get done.
