Day 653. Last night I was so exhausted, I made it to bed by 12:30 am. The past few days have been really intense for the little ones, and so it was 8:30 before I opened my eyes. Emmy was the only one I was hearing. They were all awake, though, and slowly came out of bed. After breakfast, I went downstairs with them to worship God. I was dancing, and so were they, and I just love watching them dance, especially when it's for the Lord. When Randy brought Sammy down, we sat down to read one of the children's Bibles. When Randy came with his breakfast, I left to go upstairs to clean up and then do office work.

It was leftovers day, and so I stopped working at 11:15 to cook some vegetables to add to the leftover pasta and chicken. At 11:30 I called them upstairs to eat, and we had just sat down and started, when Sonja arrived. She took over feeding them, which allowed me to take care of other stuff. Once they were done, I got out the watermelon, apple and yoghurt. Then I cleaned them up, dressed them, and we took Tammy and Emmy downstairs, where they stayed with Sonja. Then I cleaned up and dressed Sammy and put him to bed. It was a little earlier than usual, before 12:15. And Emmy was so tired that I put him to bed a little earlier as well, and he fell asleep extremely fast, without ever making a peep. That meant that Tammy went to bed earlier as well, but it took her quite a while, as usual, to fall asleep.

It was omelet day, as Randy had still not made it to the grocery store, which we needed days ago. So I was cleaning up, while Randy was making the omelets for the three of us. After he was done eating, he left for the grocery store.

Sammy woke up early as usual, after about an hour, and I took him downstairs to Sonja. He did not like it, when I handed him over. I went back upstairs to continue working on our newsletter, and I was surprised at how much time I ended up having to do it. Emmy did not wake up as usual today, but really surprised me, when his sister woke up before him. That's highly unusual and shows how tired they were from the weekend. It was after 2:30, when Tammy woke up, after about an hour and a half of sleep, and when I picked her up, Emmy was up as well immediately, so I got them both out, and took them downstairs. When Randy was still not back at 3 pm, they all came upstairs to eat. I was feeding Sammy, while Sonja was feeding the other two. While we were doing so, Randy returned from his shopping trip. We finished feeding them, while Randy put everything away.

Then we took them all downstairs. The neighbors' kids were outside playing in the sandbox, and so we thought it would be nice for ours to join them. I went to get their swim trunks, as they had a bassin and water hose out. And so we went downstairs with Tammy and Emmy, while Randy stayed inside and made Sammy work. He was not happy about that at all, and finally I went to rescue him and brought him outside as well. They were all having great fun, especially enjoying the water they had never had in the sandbox in before. And Emmy tried climbing up the fence.

After a while we decided it was time to go inside. They were covered in sand, and so we rinsed them off with the water hose, but that was only partly successful. Randy said to take them straight to the bathtub, but I knew how that would turn out, and it was bad. Emmy was terrified to go into the empty bathtub, and terrified of the shower head. It wasn't that bad with Tammy, so we rinsed her off, and then I had to go into the bathtub with Emmy to get him clean. Then I took him downstairs, where all the others were, and returned back upstairs. I had another half hour to work, before it was time to start making their food.

It was after 6 pm before I called them upstairs to eat. They ate part of their food at the table, and all three finished their food in the bathtub. Then we put them to bed. The boys fell asleep quickly, but not so Tammy. I had to come back a few times, before she finally fell asleep. I made and ate my food and continued working. I wasn't able to finish the newsletter today, but hope to do so tomorrow. Now it's 1 am, all is done, and I need to go to bed.
