Day 650. Last night it was after 1 am again, before I made it to bed, and this morning just after 8, though we usually hear them at least an hour before that. After breakfast, I took them downstairs and turned worship music on, and we were all dancing. I love watching them dance! After worshipping God, we got a Bible out and read a few Bible stories. Then Randy arrived and took my place, while I went upstairs to clean up and do office work.

At 11:30 I called them all upstairs to eat. I had meat and fries in the oven for Randy, as well as fish for the kids, plus a side dish of baby food jars. They didn't eat much of the jar, I guess they're too old now, but I still have a few to use up. At least they liked the fish. And the yoghurt and fruit as dessert. And Emmy said "apple" for the first time, pronouning it "apa". And he's said it many times since.

I cleaned them up and dressed them, and Randy went downstairs with Tammy and Emmy, while I put Sammy to bed and then sat down to eat myself. I had no time to slow down today. After I was done eating, I cleaned up, and then made their food-to-go for tonight, as well as their afternoon meal. I also had to pick out some clothes for them to wear. At 1:45 I got Sammy out of bed, and Randy went downstairs with him. Emmy still slept a little bit, and then I took him downstairs, and Tammy woke up just before 3 pm, just before I was done getting all the food ready. I called the boys upstairs, and we sat down to eat.

Thankfully it wasn't as bad as it often is. Emmy went into his chair, and Tammy actually ate today, while sitting in my lap. Before long they were both running around, which means they grab and open stuff they shouldn't. We started dressing them and getting everything ready to leave at 4 pm, and actually ended up leaving before then, which meant we had to wait quite a while for our train.

After the train and then the subway ride, we arrived at church early and sat in the back. During worship, Randy ended up with both Emmy and Tammy on his arms, while I had fun with Sammy. Sammy now likes waving a lot, as well as clapping his hands (with fists).

At 5:30 we went to the baby room so they could eat. There was another baby in the room, and so they stayed close to me without ever letting the baby out of their sight, while I put food into their mouths. After a while they started playing, but they never actually played WITH the other baby. Tammy and Emmy got pretty wild, climbing all over the furniture, and running around. Today the preaching lasted longer, and so we finally left the room to return to the sanctuary, before the preaching was over. They were happy to be back in there. Tammy went to the lady next to us and ended up getting her paper and pen. That upset Emmy who also wanted a paper and pen, but of course Tammy wasn't gonna give them to him.

The service ended just minutes later, and we put them back into the strollers and left. A few people commented on how big they've become. We took the subway and train back home. I usually have the single stroller with Emmy, and today I was reading the free subway paper and showed Emmy the picture in it - horses, a monkey. He was pointing at men in pictures and saying "papa", so I corrected him and told him it was "man". I was shocked, when he immediately adjusted and called every man in the pictures "man" from there on out. What a smart kid! Tomorrow their biolological age is 19 months.

They were all still very much awake, when we got home just before 8 pm. They usually go to bed at 7 pm. We took their clothes off and put them to bed as quickly as possible. Then our food was delivered, and we went downstairs to eat and watch a movie together, which we don't do often. First Tammy was crying, but then it was Emmy who was crying so hard, I had to go back upstairs and stay with him until he fell asleep, which didn't take long. Back downstairs, the fun didn't last long, as our internet was having issues, being too slow, and so we could not watch the movie. And so we each went to do what we needed to do after we were done eating. I guess the advantag is that I'll make it to bed earlier that way. It's midnight now, and tomorrow is another busy day.
