20 months 7 days

Last night I went to bed at midnight, and this morning we got up at exactly 8 am. After breakfast I took them downstairs, where we played until Randy came to stay with them. I went upstairs to clean up and then went to work.

It was food jar day, but I still had to cook for the adults. Tammy liked the food, but Emmy not so much, so I got some bread and peanut butter out, and of course fruit and yoghurt. Somehow it's always at the dinner table that they do their nodding, and Emmy is getting much better at eat, nearly perfect now.

They have all had runny noses, which I forgot to mention yesterday, including me. Today it was Tammy who had it the worst, and she's the only one coughing a little.

After lunch, the boys went to bed, and Randy went downstairs with Tammy. Emmy was tired, but as soon as I walked away, he was on his feet and having fun with his brother. So I returned and stayed with them, stroking Emmy's head until he fell asleep. That way I was able to put Tammy to bed, and it didn't take her long to fall asleep herself, without her entertainer brother awake.

I went back to work after having eaten and cleaned up. Today Emmy slept long, about an hour and a half, before he was the first one crying. I picked him up and was surprised that Sammy had not woken up from his crying as usual. So he ended up getting about 2 hours of sleep. I lay down with Emmy, and I think he slept a few more minutes on me, while I was getting more and more tired. When he raised his head and then got up, Randy took him downstairs. Tammy woke up next, and Sammy at the same time, so I called the boys upstairs for the afternoon meal. It was nearly 2:30.

After the afternoon meal, I took Tammy and Emmy downtairs and played with them, until Randy arrived with Sammy. Then I went upstairs to work for one more hour. It was 3 pm. At 4 pm I went downstairs to play with them for an hour, and Randy went upstairs for a break.

And we had lots of fun as always. They wanted their chairs to play with them, and sat and stood on them. They played with balls, went on the swing, and went down the slide. Emmy showed me how he can go down the slide standing up, and I filmed him doing it, with his sister sliding down normally. The video ends when his chin hit a toy and he starts crying. He was actually bloody, and I disinfected it and comforted him. Tammy also fell one time, on the couch, and has a red nose now. On the picture, you see her with her twins, two baby dolls that are downstairs, while her new doll that talks is downstairs.

Emmy went through the shelf again, which I had not seen them do for a long time. He needed me to help him at the very end to get out all the way, but it was impressive how he was able to get his legs out up front.

We didn't do much book-reading today, and I didn't have to throw Emmy around as much as usual, but Sammy got plenty of it. He was also sitting and standing for quite a bit.

Tammy and Emmy have been repeating words a lot, especially Tammy. Today she said "aua" (what you say when you hurt yourself) without me saying it first, when Emmy got hurt. I was surprised. She then kept saying it for quite a while. When I told Randy at dinner time, she understood enough to start saying it again, over and over again.

At 5 pm Randy switched with me, and I went upstairs to make dinner. Half an hour later they came up to eat. The plates were still pretty full, when they started playing and eating, but in the bathtub they finished it all, all three of them. They enjoyed playing with the ducks with suction cups again, that stick on the wall. Tomorrow some more animals arrive by mail.

Then they went to bed. I walked away, but had to come back and sit with Emmy, and did that a few times, even interrupting my meal. So it took quite a while before he finally slept for good.

After eating, I started working. And I helped Randy take his Corona test with video at home that will allow him to enter the hospital with Sammy on Tuesday. It's the first time we've used it.

Now it's still early, but I have yet to clean up the kitchen and dining room, and by the time I'll be done, it will be about time to go to bed.
