HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
I went to bed at midnight last night, and this morning it was 7:45, when we got up, because it was Sammy who was crying the hardest. We fed them, cleaned and dressed them, and I took Emmy and Tammy downstairs, while Randy was finishing up with Sammy and getting his breakfast ready. Once everyone was downstairs, I went upstairs to work. And it was baby food jar day, so I had more time to do so, and made good progress, even though I was very tired.
At 11:30 everyone came upstairs to eat. Another baby jar meal used up. Just a few more to go (too many). They ate everything on their plates, and then not just one banana, but nearly two, plus watermelon and yoghurt. I waited with putting Emmy to bed until his brother was about ready. After I put him to bed, Randy was still busy with Sammy, and as I had stuff to do, I somehow decided to put Tammy to bed, thinking I could get them to sleep. I actually know better. There's a reason I always wait for Emmy to sleep before I put Tammy to bed. It was party time! At first for all three, but then Sammy fell asleep, and the other two continued to party. They then both got a diaper change, and Emmy had actually taken his clothes off already. It took a long time for Emmy to go to sleep, and then Tammy, and I had to help a little. And before they were sleeping, Sammy was already awake again. Randy went downstairs with him.
When Emmy woke up after not that much time, I tried to rock him back to sleep. He rested on me for a little while without sleeping, and then got up, so I took him downstairs with their afternoon meal jars. It was 3 pm. The girl slept a little longer, though not much longer, and I fed her at first upstairs, but then I was needed downstairs, so I took it all there with her.
Randy went upstairs to finish the shelves, while it was fun time with Mama downstairs. Our visiting friend a few days ago came bearing gifts, including toys, and today Tammy got this doll out of the bag and adopted it. She had it with her a lot today. It actually makes different noises like crying, laughing or talking, when you push its chest. There was also a dog that makes noises that Emmy liked. In the picture he's putting it on Tammy's head. The third picture shows them putting blocks on poles. Emmy wanted it, so I got it down for him. He didn't want to finish it, but I asked him to, and his sister helped him, and they got it finished, and then I could put it away again. This is pretty easy for them by now.
They also used the slide. Right now they enjoy walking up the slide, and Tammy can do it all by herself. Emmy had me help pull him up the last few centimeters to get to the top. And of course they still enjoy the swing. Tammy was in there a long time, while Emmy was dancing (video uploaded). Emmy wanted to be thrown around quite a bit to stay happy, and Sammy enjoys that too and it makes him laugh a lot. We had lots of fun as always.
At 5 pm I went upstairs to make their food, and half an hour later they came upstairs to eat. Everyone finished all their food tonight - in the bathtub. And they still enjoyed playing with the ducks with suction cups that you can stick on the wall. There was no crying in the bathtub tonight, not even in the end, when it was time to come out. I put them to bed and walked away. At first it was pretty quiet, but then Emmy started crying. I came back and sat down with them, but left before he was sleeping. He was crying, but I stayed away, and eventually he fell asleep.
Sammy started having a runny nose today, and I could tell it was affecting his ability to breathe through his noise. I had to pick him up and comfort him, and Emmy was immediately on his feet and crying with jealousy. Had I stayed away, he would have just gone to sleep. I put Sammy back to bed, but after a while he cried again, and I held him again. We reated that a few times, the last time Randy holding him, and he's been sleeping since.
So my meal got interrupted a few times, but in the end I finished and was able to go to work. I paused the office work to do the clean up, and then went back to it. And now I have a few minutes left before it's midnight, my new bedtime, and I'm really tired, not having slept at all during the day.
