Day 637. It's going on 1 am and I'm very tired and haven't even cleaned up yet. So let's keep this short.

It was a regular day until 4 pm, which is when we left the house to go to church. For the first time all three wore their headbands with their names on, but Sammy's is still too big and ends up as a scarf because he pulls it down, while the other two are not keen on headbands either. Emmy once again enjoyed sitting in the single stroller where he could see the world around him.

We were glad that it was not raining, but it was sure cold for this time of year. We got to church before the service started, and two little kids came up to ours to say hello to them. Once the music started, they stuck really close to us at first, just watching to start with. There were people and kids with flags in the front, and we ended up going forward as well, and all three got to wave flags or fabric.

At 5:30 I went upstairs to the toddler room with Tammy and Emmy. We were surprised to find out that the toddler program was beginning right away, rather than at 6 pm as usual. We sat down for the 20-minute program. Tammy and Emmy were just watching and taking it all in. When Sammy arrived at 6 pm - the regular time - the program was already over. As he had missed it, Randy went back into the sanctuary with him.

After the program it was time to eat. They were busy watching the others, and then playing, while I put the food into their mouths, and they ate it all. One little girl sat next to them and kept getting food out of their bowls. At the end Emmy handed her someone else's lunch box.

Then they went to the slide and went up and down quite a few times. Emmy also enjoyed discovering the work bench, and they both enjoyed interacting with the other kids. At 6:30 we left to return to the sanctuary. Randy was on the bottom of the staircase with Sammy. I took Sammy, and he stood on a chair for a while.

Then worship started again, and we again ended up in the front and with flags, which all three enjoyed.

Then the service ended. They were getting tired, and we had forgotten their pacifiers at home. Surprisingly, they didn't seem to miss them and didn't cry any more because of it. We put their coats back on and put them into the strollers. It was so cute, when Tammy walked over to Sammy and put her head on his chest, as if she was gonna sleep there.

We left the church and walked back to the tram station, where we briefly saw Sonja. Then we took the tram, and had to take the train with steps to go home. All three were wide awake. We got home before 8 pm and started getting them all ready for bed. Of course Emmy wanted me to sit by their beds and not leave, and so I did until 8:30. I was thinking about how much I had to do, and we had decided to do a food & movie night, which I really didn't have the time for. At 8:30 they delivered our food, and we went downstairs to eat and watch the movie. It was only after that that I could start to work. Now it's 1 am and I'll have to do a quick clean-up tonight.
