Day 630. Last night none of them needed milk (contrary to tonight). They are slowly getting there. The girl never drinks milk any more, the boys sometimes still need it.

This morning I heard Sammy cry just after 7 am for the first time. Sometimes he gets himself into a pickle he needs to be freed from (like tonight), so after a while I got up to check on him, and took him with me to our bed. The other two were still lying down - until I had walked away with Sammy. From then on it was Emmy who was screaming. Sammy was happy in the bed with us. I finally got up to get Emmy as well, which upset the girl, but she wasn't crying like her brother, just complaining. I picked Emmy up before he had taken his pj's and diaper off. He enjoyed being in the bed with us as well. Obviously it only worked for so long, and so we already got up at about 7:30 am. I felt it during the day.

After breakfast, cleaning and dressing them, I took them downstairs, where we played until Randy came with his breakfast. Then I went upstairs to clean up and then work. I was thankful I didn't have to cook for the kids or Randy, as it was leftover/jar day, so all I had to do for them was to warm up stuff. At 11:30 they all came upstairs to eat.

After lunch, I put the boys to bed and Randy took Tammy downstairs. The boys were wide awake, and all I could hear was Sammy laughing, as his brother was entertaining him. At some point Sammy finally fell asleep, but Emmy was still on his feet and not slowing down. For over an hour I tried to get him to sleep. It was 1:15 before he did, and Randy coincidentally came upstairs with the girl just at that time, having had enough of waiting. I put the girl to bed, and she played by herself for a while, until she fell asleep as well.

When Emmy woke up after just over half an hour of sleep, I was ready to pick him up and lie down with him, as I was getting really tired myself. However, Randy got to him before me, and soon they were both fast asleep. I took this picture, when I picked up Sammy who had woken up. Sammy stayed with me, and after a little while Randy and Emmy woke up as well and went downstairs. Sammy still stayed with me, while we were all waiting for the girl to wake up, which she did not long after. Then I called everyone upstairs, and we sat down for the afternoon meal.

Tammy is always very cranky and difficult after waking up, and it was not easy to feed her. As it was warm and sunny outside, we decided it was a good idea to go to the nearby playground, and so we dressed them and left before it was 4 pm.

Tammy and Emmy ran down our hallway, ready to get out, while Randy and Sammy caught up with us later. We walked down the narrow path towards the playground, when a little dog in a garden nearby started barking. They got so scared, I had to pick them up and carry them all the way the playground. I tried a few times to put them down, but to no avail. Once we reached the playground, they were happy to leave my arms and discover what was there.

Emmy started off on the bouncy chicken, and once Sammy arrived, I put him behind his brother. Emmy did not appreciate that. In the meantime Tammy was by the sandbox. After a little while we moved on to the little house, slide and climbing thing. Sammy was standing on it for quite a long time, holding on to the chain. Tammy and Emmy joined him after a while. Then we went over to the swings. Tammy did great on both kinds of swing, even making the swing move. Emmy once fell off because he let go of the chain with one hand, pointing at something. He let go several times for the same reason, and I warned him, but I guess he needed to experience the consequence for himself. I tried to put Emmy on the tire as well, but that wasn't really working for him. He enjoyed when I sat on it and he swung with me.

There were some kids at the sandbox, and we walked over there. Tammy and Emmy were just standing there, watching the other kids. The mothers were talking with each other, but not talking to us. They left after a while, and it was also time for us to go home, as it was nearly 5 pm. Sammy was in the stroller, and the other two walked. Tammy stopped a few times on the way home to explore plants. One flower was the exact same color as her clothes.

Once home, I went straight to work making their food. They never went downstairs, but came to me to get pieces of bread, while wreaking havoc on the shelves and stuff. Finally I was done and we could sit down to eat. From then on everything was like any other night. They finished their food in the bathtub, and then went to bed. I did not stay with them, but got my food ready. I finally did go to their beds, as Sammy was unhappy, and I found his foot with the brace stuck between the bars. I freed him, and then picked up Tammy who had taken off her pj's and who had a dirty diaper. When I walked away, it was Emmy who started crying. I comforted him, while Randy changed her diaper and dressed her again. I put her back to bed, and Emmy let me walk away.

Now it's 1 am, and I'm very tired, as this is really (too) late for me now. At least everything is done and I can go to bed.
