HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 629. Last night none of the kids needed milk - that's rare. I went to bed twenty minutes after midnight, and we got up just after 8 am. Sammy was still sleeping. Tammy and Emmy had taken their pj's off, and Emmy also his diaper, throwing it into Sammy's bed.
After breakfast, I took them downstairs and played with them until Randy came with his breakfast. Then I went upstairs to clean up and then start working on the computer. At 11 am I stopped to cook lunch for the six of us. Sonja came just before 11:30, and a few minutes later everyone came upstairs to eat. It was spinach day, but this is the cleanest they've ever been after eating spinach. Sammy didn't eat much.
After cleaning up, I put the boys to bed, and Sonja went downstairs with Tammy. Both boys were wide awake, and it took nearly an hour, until 1 pm, before I got them to fall asleep. Thank God Sonja was here. I went to get Tammy, and she fell asleep a few minutes later, as there was no brother to entertain her.
Randy left to go to the grocery store, and after working a while, I got up to prepare their dinner-to-go. The boys woke up first, and I lay down with Emmy for a few minutes, and then took both boys downstairs to Sonja. A few minutes later Tammy woke up, and so everyone came upstairs for the afternoon meal. It was just after 2:30 pm. Peanut butter is probably Sammy's favorite food, as he could not get enough of it. Tammy also loves it, but Emmy prefers eating plain bread without anything on it. Tammy also had watermelon, but didn't really eat very much.
I had already picked out their church clothes, but Tammy and Emmy went downstairs with Sonja for a little while yet, after I had cleaned them up. Randy finished with Sammy and already dressed him. I got ready myself, as well as some other things, and at 3:30 the others came back upstairs and we dressed them. We ended up leaving the house (too) early, so we had to wait for our train for quite a while.
Emmy was in the single stroller again and enjoyed every second of it, being able to see everything around him. I don't know why we didn't make that switch earlier. Sammy doesn't mind sitting on the bottom of the double stroller, even though his sister's feet were mighty close to his face and dangerous to his fingers.
We got to church extra early today, even though the train always runs at the same time. It was nice talking to a few people. During worship, the kids enjoyed themselves, and I had them all on my arm at some point, dancing with them in worship.
They were getting hungry, and so we left for the baby room after about half an hour. We were the only ones there and started feeding them. Tammy and Emmy didn't eat much fruit tonight. Randy put Sammy into the baby activity chair and fed him in there. They had lots of fun playing with the toys. And Tammy was determined to climb up the baby bed, but it's still gonna be a while before she'll be able to climb into it. And again, they enjoyed climbing up on the couch and the chairs. They were getting tired after a while, and at about 6:30, we walked back into the sanctuary, as the preacher was coming to a close. Then we put their coats back on and put them back into the strollers. By then they were so tired, they hardly moved, just sat there, as people came by to greet them.
We finally left and started our long trek home. We had to wait quite a long time for the train, and then it was a regular one we had to carry the strollers into conquering a few steps. A few minutes later we got back off, and then all we had to do was to walk home. We got them out of the strollers, took the clothes off, changed their diapers, brushed their teeth, put their pj's on and put them to bed. It was about 8 pm, but Emmy required me to stay for him to fall asleep. I came and left a few times, before he was finally asleep. And Sammy woke up again later, like yesterday, and needed comforting, before going back to bed. And I had to repeat that later tonight. All three still have runny noses, and today Emmy coughed quite a bit as well. Sammy is the next one to start coughing.
Now it's nearly midnight, and I still have to clean the kitchen. I'm really tired, so good-night and see you tomorrow.
