We got up at our regular 8 am time this morning. Last night Sammy had a rough time for the second night in a row, and I gave him dental cream, and gave him milk in the middle of the night, and then Emmy wants some too. In the morning, I close the gate and then get the kids out of bed, while Randy gets up. Then I get their food ready, while Randy gives them fresh diapers. Often Emmy helps me emptying the dishwasher, pulling plates out and handing them to me. Until Daddy gets him to change his diaper, that is, and then he's not happy to be interrupted.

After breakfast, I went downstairs with them, while Randy ate his breakfast. Sonja was so kind to help us out today and arrived at 9:15, just as Randy was ready to leave the house with Sammy to go to his private physiotherapy session. Emmy had already heard Sonja upstairs and was impatient for her to come downstairs. When she came down, I went upstairs to work. And then they had the greatest time with her. At 11 am I started cooking, and all I hear from downstairs is all three laughing. When Randy is with them, I hear a lot of crying, as they get hungry and tired at that time, but not with Sonja.

Randy and Sammy walked in just as I was done putting the food on their plates and called them upstairs to eat. Great timing. I told Sonja she could go home, as I don't want to take advantage of her kindness, but she stayed until they were all in bed. They had pasta with ground beef and cheeses sauce, but I had simplified a step and it hadn't worked out quite right. They still liked it - somewhat. And then had watermelon and yoghurt. Then I cleaned them up, put the boys to bed, and Sonja went downstairs with Tammy. I had to help Emmy a bit so he could fall asleep, as he was entertaining his brother at first, making him laugh. Once he was asleep, I could put Tammy to bed, who fell asleep after having played by herself for a while.

I started cleaning up and tidying up and doing some more office work. At about 2:15 pm they all woke up at the same time, which is unusual. It was still a bit early, but we decided to sit down for the afternoon meal anyway, and they didn't eat much. Even less when Grandma and Grandpa walked in after a few minutes. Tammy was jumping in her chair for joy, when she saw Grandma, while Emmy was just staring at first. This morning, Emmy had said "Grandpa", and later Tammy "Grandma". While they were with us, my Mom heard Tammy say both words to her, and she was overjoyed by it.

After they were done eating, we all went downstairs. I put shorts on the boys today, as it was a special day. Emmy lost them a few times, though, as he's so skinny. Grandma and Grandpa had come to celebrate Mommy's upcoming birthday. That's why we set up the tables downstairs and brewed a pot of coffee, and then all ate the beautiful and good cake they had brought. They even sang Happy Birthday for me! Tammy enjoyed the cake, but the boys didn't care much for it. I had Sammy with me, by their little table, and Emmy was sitting on his chair by his table, while Tammy ended up with Daddy.

And then the fun started. Time just flew by, full of activity, as all three were really busy with their grandparents. They were reading books, playing ball, playing the xylophone, Emmy was giving shots to them, and Sammy wanted Mommy to throw him around. I've uploaded a few great videos. Time went by way too fast, and we all went upstairs to see them off at 4:30. Tammy started crying, when she realized they were leaving and she was not. We said our good-byes and went back downstairs to play. At 5 pm I left to go get their food ready, and Emmy always starts crying, when I get up to leave.

Half an hour later they came upstairs to eat, but it wasn't long before I had to take their plates away. Tammy was throwing food first, and Emmy copied her immediately. Both threw food again after I had told them not to, and so they had a short time out, with me turning their chairs around, towards the wall. They did finish ALL their food in the bathtub, even though I had a hard time fitting it all on one plate. Today Sammy finished his food before them in the bathtub. And they had lots of fun playing with all their animals, as usual. Then they had to come out and go to bed. I returned at one point, as it sounded like Tammy needed something she had thrown out, and found all three awake. I returned Tammy's dolls, rabbits and the hospital pacifier to her (the only one she likes), and then she was happy. After a while Sammy started crying again, and I gave him some dental cream and comforted him, and then he was fine, when I put him to bed. All three were asleep shortly after.

I decided to eat food I'm not allowed to eat on my diet (after having eaten cake already), which was much faster and allowed me to have more time to work. Still, times goes by so fast, when your goal is to go to bed at midnight. I just never have enough time to work for a decent amount of time. Now it's half past midnight, and I need to head to bed.
