HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Last night was the first night where none of them had any milk. Usually they have their milk between 11 pm and 1 am. It was also the fourth time in a row I went to bed around midnight, at 12:15 am, to be exact, as I still had too much to do. I chose not to give them milk without them crying and take the risk of having to get back up, but either they didn't cry, or I slept too well to hear them cry. They went to bed later yesterday, because we had been at church, so that was certainly a factor.
This morning we got up exactly at 8 am for their breakfast. This time it was Sammy who was still sleeping, so now I've found all three asleep one time each in the morning. After breakfast, cleaning and dressing them, I took them downstairs and waited for Randy to come down with his breakfast to take over. Just as I was going up the stairs, the Mobile Therapy Support lady arrived. Before she went downstairs to play with them for 90 minutes, she talked to me about kindergarten and school for Sammy. I've always intended to homeschool them, but it's now very uncertain if that is gonna be possible because of Sammy's special needs. If he has to go to a special school, we'd be stuck in Vienna and traveling would be over. Thankfully it's 4 more years before they start school, and a lot can happen until then.
After cleaning up, I started working on the computer upstairs and got a lot done. It was baby food jar day, so I didn't have to cook for them, just for the adults. I heard Emmy crying quite a bit downstairs while I was getting the food ready, so I went to get him, and he "assisted" me in the kitchen. At 11:30 the others came upstairs, and we sat down to eat. It was fish day, and the last of those specific jars, thank God. They had watermelon and yoghurt as dessert, and then it was cleanup time. They do not like it when I put them in the sink to rinse them off, but it's the easiest way. I put their clothes back on, and then the boys went to bed. They were pretty tired, but Emmy needed a little help. Randy was holding Tammy in the meantime, and after a few minutes, I put her down, and she fell asleep fast.
It was time for me to eat, then clean up, and then I started working again. I never had a nap, even though I was getting pretty tired. When Emmy woke up after nearly 2 hours, I picked him up and lay down with him, which made me more tired. Sammy was awake as well, and I finally shouted to Randy to go pick him up, as he was crying more and more, and that woke Emmy up. So he went downstairs with the other boys, while I stayed upstairs, waiting for Tammy to wake up. At 3 pm I called the others up, even though she was still sleeping, but she'd been sleeping for two and a half hours. She woke up, when they came upstairs.
We sat down to eat, but Tammy is always really cranky after waking up from her nap. She wanted to be with her Daddy, so she ended up on his lap, and he fed both her and Sammy, while I only had Emmy. I cleaned them both up and dressed them, but put a full set of clothes on Emmy, as I was gonna take him with me on my errand. I thought we'd have a fun one-on-one time together.
It was after 3:30 pm, when we left the house together. Tammy was still upstairs, as Randy wasn't done with Sammy yet, and so she came to the door, thinking she'd come with us, and was crying when I shut the door in her face. Randy said she was crying for a long time.
Today I did not take a stroller or anything with me. Emmy was gonna be a big boy and walk - or be carried. At first he was a little scared outside. They are building a big house right there, and the noise bothered him so I carried him all the way to the subway and into the subway. He was still enjoying being with Mommy. We only rode one stop, and then we had a bus to take for four stops. Emmy walked to the bus stop, holding my hand, until I saw the bus approaching. I picked Emmy up and ran to the bus with him. The picture with him was taken sitting in the bus. He enjoyed looking out the window, but when the Danube became visible, he acted scared. We got off the bus and had to walk one block to the pharmacy. I was holding his hand, while he was walking, but he was not going fast. There was just too much to look at. I finally picked him up and carried him the rest of the way. At the pharmacy, I went to the window to the sidewalk they had, and it took only a minute to do the Corona test. Emmy was on my arm the whole time. Then we left to go back to the bus station, and he walked again part of the way. We took the bus and then the subway, and were back home about 45 minutes after leaving. Next time it's Tammy's turn.
It was 4:20, so I still had 40 minutes with my little ones. Randy continued working on those shelves during that time; they'll be done soon. The four of us had lots of fun together downstairs, as always.
It was after 5 pm before I got to go upstairs to get their food ready. Half an hour later they came upstairs to eat, then went into the bathtub, and to bed. Today I was able to walk away and never had to sit by their beds, even though there was some fussing. Sammy has really been awake every night, which is new, as he used to go to sleep right away. Tonight it was his siblings who slept before he did.
I got my food ready, ate, then started working, then cleaned the dining room and kitchen, and then returned to do the report. I will once again be able to go to bed at midnight tonight.
