I went to bed at 3:30, and this morning we already got up at 7:30, as Emmy was crying rather hard. I went to check on him, and he had taken his sleeping bag and pj off and only had his diaper on. I made their food, while Randy was giving everyone a fresh diaper and put them into their chairs. After feeding them cereal with milk, as well as watermelon, apple and banana, I cleaned them up and dressed them and held Sammy, while Randy was taking them and what he needed downstairs, picking up Sammy last.

I went back to bed, my alarm waking me up again at 11:15. I put baby jars into the warmer, and starting cutting up chicken into small pieces and put it in the pan. At 11:30 they all came upstairs, and we sat down to feed them. They sure love chicken! And it was followed by watermelon, banana and the leftovers from breakfast. Emmy was throwing food on the ground, even though he knew he was not supposed to. I turned his chair around to put him in time-out, which he did not like. I then cleaned him up first and put him to bed. Next I cleaned up Sammy, and Randy put him to bed. Then I cleaned up Tammy, and I made the mistake of not waiting until Emmy was asleep before putting her to bed. And so Emmy and Tammy were having fun, waking each other up being so active. Thankfully Sammy fell asleep anyway. I came back a few times, trying to get them to lie down and sleep. Finally Emmy did, and a little later Tammy as well. But it was already 1 pm by then.

I had finished cleaning up by then, and Randy was making omelets, which he does once a week. After having eaten, I was pretty tired, but I didn't get to rest long. Emmy woke up, and as Randy was not picking him up, I finally did. He had only slept an hour by then, and so lay down with him, and he rested on me for another 20-30 minutes, before he was up for good. By then Randy was already downstairs with Sammy, and I took Emmy to them, and went to work in the kitchen.

I started making their dinner to take with us, but it wasn't long before Tammy woke up, and so everyone came upstairs to eat the afternoon meal. By the time we were done, it was after 3 pm, and we needed to leave at 4. Randy started dressing them, while I continued getting their food to go ready, as well as their snacks, and getting myself ready. We ended up leaving on time and catching our train.

And so we got to church before the service started and sat in the back as usual. At first they're always rather stationary, watching everything, but it doesn't take long before they take off. Before the service even started, Tammy saw their ear protectors and wanted it on, and she took Emmy's and tried to put it on him. But once the music is going, she tries to take them off all the time.

Worship started, and I tried to get them to dance, but they didn't dance much today. They did have fun, interacting with some people, though they stayed closer to us than usual today. I held Emmy and danced with him, and also Tammy. As worship was coming to an end and they were getting hungry, we left to go to the baby room to feed them, as no food is allowed in the sanctuary.

There was another baby in the room, that we already know from the past. Tammy and Emmy interacting with his parents as if they were no strangers at all, and sometimes went to their baby to stroke its head. All the while I was feeding them. There are lots of toys, and they were pretty busy playing with them.

And then they started climbing on top of the chairs, moving between them, and having lots of fun. I was holding Sammy and making him laugh. Then I put him in the chair, and Emmy sat down next to him. And then Tammy climbed up as well and joined them.

The other family said their good-byes, and Tammy and Emmy waved and said good-bye ("baba"), and Sammy said "ba" and waved as well.

We stayed a few more minutes, and then returned to the sanctuary for the end of the service. Tammy and Emmy were having lots of fun, running around, and interacting with people. Sammy was already pretty tired, and I tried to keep him happy. Once the service was over, we put their coats back on and put them into the stroller. Some people came by to talk to them, and to say how much they had grown.

We left, took the subway, and were lucky, when our train without steps arrived just a few minutes after we got there. Emmy seemed the most tired, and Sammy the most cranky, but none of them slept in the stroller. Once home, we put their pj's on and put them to bed right away. Again, Emmy and Tammy were a little active at first, needing encouragement to lie down, while Sammy needed dental cream. I believe he has another molar about to break through, on the last side without one so far. He was fine after the cream.

I got some food, then started working, but have yet to finish the German translation of our newsletter. Now it's after 3 am, and it's time for me to head to bed. No helpers coming tomorrow, and we're not going anywhere either. And no Easter festivities.
