HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
After a short night as always, we got up at 8 am to give them breakfast. Randy took them all downstairs, and I went back to bed. After about 90 minutes, I got up early to cook lunch for everybody. It was pasta day. Tammy and Emmy emptied their plates quickly, and then had fruit and yoghurt as dessert. Then I put Emmy to bed for his nap, and he fell asleep without help after a short time. So did Sammy. So it wasn't long before Randy and Tammy could come back upstairs, so I could put her to bed. She always needs a little time, but it wasn't long either today. They must have been pretty tired.
And they slept well and long. After about 90 minutes Emmy woke up first, and I lay down with him, but he didn't fall asleep again, so Randy went downstairs with him. After 2 hours, which is long for Sammy, he woke up and I took him downstairs as well. Tammy also slept about that long and woke up at 2:30, just before Grandma arrived to visit.
Everyone came upstairs, and we sat down for the afternoon meal. Grandma was feeding Emmy. Then we all went downstairs. I took some clothes downstairs with me, and we dressed them to go outside. This was the only warm day today in a while and for a while. Randy left to go to the grocery store.
They went straight to the sandbox and enjoyed playing in it. They especially enjoyed throwing sand, and Tammy even tried to eat it! Sammy was rather quiet this afternoon and either held by me or my Mom. He also got to sit on the car for a while, and later even on the tricycle, which worked thanks to the seatbelt. First Tammy wanted to sit on the tricycle instead of Sammy, and Emmy just wanted to ride along so he did, as we were experimenting with positions that work.
Emmy and Tammy were both sitting on the tricycle for a while - that was a first, but it worked. Either Grandma or I pushed them up and down the path.
Emmy was getting pretty cranky, and so we decided it was time to go back inside, which didn't make him any happy, on the contrary. He was throwing a fit. He calmed down after a while and started playing happily. Do you see the body he's wearing? It says "I'm from Vienna".
Tammy and Emmy were putting blocks on poles, and put toy cellphones against their ears, pretending to be talking. Sammy got a hold of a balloon, and then crawled to the drawers to play with them. Grandma had to leave, and so it was just the four of us. At 5 pm Randy came downstairs, and I went upstairs to start making their food.
Everyone came upstairs just after 5:30 to eat. They ate, went into the bathtub, and to bed, just as always. And thank God, tonight bedtime was easy to. I walked away and never had to sit down by their beds. Emmy was unhappy at first, but fell asleep fast. Tammy as well, and I just had to come back once to give her her rabbit back, and she fell asleep not long after.
It was later that for a while, first Emmy was crying and couldn't find peace, and then Tammy. No clue why. By now they've had their milk, except for Sammy. Sometimes Sammy sleeps through the night without milk.
I've already done some office work tonight, and as it's already pretty late, I might not be able to get any more done, even though I just can't get my to-do list to shrink.
