HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
I went to bed at 3:30, and we got up at 8 as usual. After they were fed, cleaned and dressed, I took them downstairs and waited for Randy to be done so he could come downstairs, and I could go to bed. I had my alarm set for 11:15 to warm up their baby jars, but when I got up, I found that Randy had already turned the warmers on. Sonja arrived a few minutes later, and everyone came upstairs to eat. Today Sammy was able to stay up until lunch; we're trying to switch him to one nap per day like the others.
After lunch, Emmy went to bed first, while Sonja went downstairs with Tammy. It did not take Emmy long to fall asleep, and then I went downstairs to get Tammy and put her to bed. In between Randy had put Sammy to bed as well. So all three were asleep at the same time. Yeah!
It was omelet day, and so Randy started cooking, while I was cleaning up. I really just wanted to lie back down and sleep. I enjoyed my omelet, and before I could even lie down to take a nap, Sammy already woke up, after maybe an hour at the max. Once Sammy is awake, he's awake, so I took him downstairs to Sonja. I then went to bed, but even though I was so tired, I was just not falling asleep. I had finally fallen asleep, when the next kid woke up, and the other one right after. It was 2 pm, and having had lunch early, everyone came upstairs for the afternoon meal. Sammy has not been eating enough. Randy is the one always feeding him, and sometimes I feel for Sammy, when he's crying and trying not to eat, with Daddy forcing the food in. It's not an easy situation. Tammy and Emmy did not eat it all today either, but they also had banana and watermelon and apple.
Then everyone went downstairs. Once again I had to clean up, and then I went downstairs as well, to have fun with the little ones, while Randy stayed upstairs, taking a break. Sammy and Emmy went into the swing. Sammy loves the swing! And it wasn't long before they were outside their play area. They enjoy climbing into the baby swing, and Tammy is good at making it swing, while she's in it, and she looked really comfortable lying in it belly down. She also decided to sit down in the laundry basket. Then I put Sammy into his chair; it's been a while since he was in it, as Randy took it out of the play area, saying his siblings take it apart. It was good to see him in it. It didn't take long, though, before his siblings came, and I took them all for a ride, Tammy in the back, and Emmy in the front. I pushed them up and down in the little space we had, and then Sonja did. The boys also went a few rounds without their sister. And of course Tammy and Emmy got to go round and round on the old office chair - another fun thing to do.
At 4 pm we had a Zoom meeting with some other African leaders. I knew it was gonna be challenging with all three around us. We were somewhat distracted, walked away at times, and also had all three in front of the screen at times. Sonja tried to keep them busy, but they always get cranky around that time. At 5 o'clock I went upstairs to get their food ready, while Randy stayed at the meeting. When I heard the little ones crying and fussing, I called Sonja upstairs with them, and Randy stayed at the meeting with Sammy. They were hungry, so I gave them bread, while still cutting up their fruit. The meeting ended soon thereafter, and so everyone was upstairs and ready to sit down to eat. Sonja was with them, and feeding them their soup, while I was grating the apple and pear. As more and more of their molars are coming out - Sammy's second one has just broken through - I won't have to grate them much longer. By the time I sat down with them, they were nearly done. So I took Emmy to the bathtub, and Sonja brought Tammy, and we continued feeding them the rest of their food. Once Sammy joined us, I was holding him and feeding him, while Sonja was feeding the others. There was a lot of foam today, and I put some on their heads. That's when I took that cute picture.
All three came out at the same time, after Emmy had pooped once again into the water (it's only ever him). Then I put them to bed one after another. The boys fell asleep fast, and Tammy did not need me to sit with her either to fall asleep. I decided to use my precious time to take a bath, which I don't get to do as much any more as I used to. It relaxes me more than anything, and somehow I felt it had been a strange and stressful day. I probably stayed too long in there, especially as we're changing our clocks tonight and are losing an hour. I'm planning on going to bed early tonight, without any more office work. Tomorrow the one hour difference is certainly gonna mess up the schedule somewhat. The EU has decided to abolish these time changes, but it's not happening yet.
