HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
It was a short night, though I headed to bed a little earlier than usual, and then it was a regular day, a day with Sonja. I cooked a new dish for lunch, and they all loved it and ate it all. Then they all lay down for a nap, and had their afternoon meal after getting up, which was about 2:30 pm. And then our routine changed because we dressed them, put them into the strollers and left the house. I just found out that we only have two more warm days left, before it gets cold again.
I had googled playgrounds in the area and picked one of them to go to. Now that they all sleep at the same time after lunch, it gives us a little more time to go somewhere, and it was exactly the time we needed that we had.
We walked to the tram stop, which is a little distance away, and rode four stops, and walked a little more to get to the playground. And I tell you, it's my favorite yet, going by how much they enjoyed it. There was a good number of kids there, but not too many. At first, they just stood there, taking it all in. Then we started exploring.
The round swing they can all go on was first. Then we moved on to the bouncy animals, and they enjoyed them for a while, while watching the kids around them. Randy took Sammy to the slide, and he went down a few times, enjoying it. Then Tammy and Emmy walked over there too, and the fun started. We first went to the net to climb up on to the get to the top and to the slide. I helped them, but they did pretty well and got to the top. Then they started sliding, and making it very clear they wanted to go back up there to slide again. We would just lift them up to the platform, no more climbing. Even Tammy enjoyed it greatly, while she doesn't care much about the little slide at home. And she surprised me, when she lay down and slid down on her belly, feet first, and she did several times. Courageous girl, and coureagous Emmy. Emmy would slide down and fall forward on his knees for a while, but then he managed to just sit, and even keep standing. Tammy kept standing from the beginning.
Then we moved, walking towards a ship that was moving, but it was the most popular thing there, with a few kids on it. Tammy saw the sandbox stuff lying right there, and starting playing with it, and Emmy did as well. Randy was taking Sammy to the regular swing in the meantime.
Then we moved to the last installation we had not checked out yet. It was actually for water running down a contraption and making the wheel at the end move. I guess the water will be on in summer. Tammy enjoyed turning the wheel, and Randy let Sammy turn the wheel too. And Sammy got to take position behind the "pulpit", our little prophet-preacher!
And then it was already time to leave and go back home, about a 20-minute journey, depending on how fast the tram comes, and it kept us waiting. Back home, it was time to get dinner ready, and I went straight to work. They had worked up an appetite and came to me for bread, while having the greatest time playing with Sonja. They were playing "catch me" with her, laughing out loud. I wished I could have an audio recording of that! The setup upstairs is great, as you can go in a circle through the dining room and then bathroom hallway.
They did pretty well, eating at the table, with not that much left at the end, which they finished in the bathtub. Well Tammy did, and Sammy actually finished EVERYHING on his plate, which is rare. But Emmy, for the third day in a row, refused to eat in the bathtub, and he started fussing and clinging to me again, though not as much or bad as the past two days. He didn't want the cereal-with-milk drink either. Once done, we got them all out and got them ready for bed. As always they were having a party in bed, all three of them, doing lots of laughing. One time I just went there to check what Emmy was doing to make his brother laugh so hard. He was just standing in his bed, looking at his brother. No idea if he had done anything else. I came to their beds a few times, trying to encourage them to sleep, and eventually they fell asleep all by themselves.
I made my food, ate, and went to work. Today I had so many pictures, that it took me until now to choose and edit them. The fewer pictures, the faster it goes. So no more time for anything else, as it's 2:30, and I'm trying to go to bed earlier. I still have to feed Sammy (the other two have had their milk), and empty the dishwasher.
