HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
It really was a day like any other until 4 pm. Except that Randy forgot to put Sammy down for his nap at 3 pm, after the afternoon meal, and I myself was so busy getting ready for our departure, I didn't notice either. So Sammy had only one nap today, from 10:30 to 11:30, and the other two had one nap after lunch. I cooked cremed spinach, so there was a lot of green bodies and tables, and plenty of cleanup to do. My second alarm woke me up at 11 am so I could cook, and I stayed busy until 4 pm, making their dinner to take with us, and picking their clothes, as well as cleaning up. They never went downstairs after their afternoon meal at 2:30.
We did leave on time and made our 4:20 train that only runs every half hour, then took a subway, followed by a walk that took us to church before the service started. It was great seeing everyone again, though we barely talked to everyone. After the service pretty much everyone leaves right away. Where are the old times, when people would pick the babies up and play with them, and talk and mingle and stay for a long time after church.
It's so wonderful to watch the kids at church, how they act. They really love it. They run around, smile all the time, and smile at everybody, trying to interact with everyone. They had so much fun! They never even stopped for a minute to rest. During worship we stayed in the sanctuary, and then we went to the baby room to feed them their dinner.
Today we were the only ones in the room. In fact, we saw no other children at the church today at all; I wonder why. Emmy and Tammy ate all their food, while playing with all the toys in the room. Sammy also ate most of his food. Later we put him into the activity chair that he likes. He can sit upright by himself and play with the toys that are attached. The other two were also pretty busy playing. And they did not get cranky, like they do at home.
Just before the end of the service we returned to the sanctuary, and they continued running around and having fun with people. They were starting to get tired, wanting to be held. When the service ended, we slowly put their coats on, a few people said hello, and just over two hours after the service had started we left there.
Nobody slept in the stroller on the way home of course. However, Tammy was really tired and had a fit, and so I held her on the subway. Then we had a train to take, and when we got to the platform, it was actually sitting there, so we ran to catch it. Praise God! I had Tammy on my arm the whole time, as well as pushing Sammy's stroller. Just before we got to our stop to get off, it took all our efforts to get Tammy back into the stroller, and she was screaming all the way home. She was screaming, when I got her out of the stroller, took her clothes off, changed her diaper. When I prayed for her, she put her head on my shoulder, and when I put her down, she went straight to sleep, without ever lifting her head up again, which is not like her at all. No crying tonight. And the boys went to bed quickly as well. No crying or needing to be held. It was just after 8 pm, when they went to bed.
Time to make some food and eat and get to work for me/us. Time just flies, in terms of days, weeks and months, but also at night, as I try to get things done.
