HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
For the second day in a row the little ones woke up an hour earlier than usual. Again, we ignored them and let them talk and got up just a few minutes earlier than usual at 8 am to make breakfast and feed them. By the time Caritas helper Christine arrived at 8:30, they were pretty much done eating. That is their cereal with milk, banana, apple, and melon.
As Randy had hung up the swing last night, I was eager to see their reaction when they'd first see it. I cleaned them up and dressed them and took Tammy and Emmy downstairs, while Randy was finishing with Sammy and making his breakfast. It was such a beautiful moment, to see their faces when they saw the swing, and then, both of them wanted to swing of course. Tammy ended up going first and loved it! When I took her out to give Emmy a turn, she started crying and did not want to come out. So after a few minutes of Emmy swinging, I simply put her behind her brother, and so they got to both swing at the same time. For now that's still possible! As you can imagine, they spent much of the day in the swing and went high and turned and twisted, and all that fun. It was so much fun to watch them laugh and enjoy it!
I went to back to bed, while Christine and Randy stayed with them. As they had woken up earlier, both boys lay down for a nap at 10:30, and so Tammy had the swing all to herself. Christine cooked lunch for everyone, and they fed them at noon. Then Tammy went to bed for her only nap of the day.
She was crying for a while, which woke me up, and I went to check on her. She had thrown her rabbit out and taken her sleeping bag off. I turned the ocean sounds on, gave her her rabbit, put the sleeping bag on, and stroked her head for a little bit, then walked away, and she fell asleep. It was 1 pm.
Christine was downstairs with the boys, and I got my food and ate. It was nice to know that the kids were taken care off and that I could take a break, as well as Randy. Tammy woke up at 2:30, just when Christine was leaving, and so everyone came upstairs to have their afternoon meal. Tammy and Emmy ate their jars quickly, then had yoghurt and fruit, eating quite a lot. It all took time, and so it was already way after 3 pm, when I put Emmy down for his nap. There wasn't much time left until 4 pm. Sammy joined him a few minutes later, while I was downstairs with Tammy, who - of course - wanted back into the swing. She pretty much stayed in there the whole time until 4 pm, when I went upstairs to wake the boys up and bring them down. I put Emmy in the swing, but of course Tammy was jealous and wanted to be in there as well, so I put her in as well, and they both swung together. I sat on the floor with Sammy and gave them a shove from time to time.
I left at 5 pm to get their dinner food ready, and Randy dared to take them out of the swing. I heard 3 crying children at that time and wondered why he didn't let them enjoy the swing, especially with them being tired and cranky and hungry. I ended up going back downstairs and bringing Emmy back upstairs with me. The problem was that he didn't want me to put him down, and it was hard cutting up their food and getting everything ready with him on my arm. Randy finally came upstairs with the other two after a few minutes, and Emmy finally agreed to join his sister running around.
Once I was nearly done, they sat down in their chairs and gave them their food. Emmy is pretty good at eating by himself, while I'm a little cautious with Tammy, as she likes mixing her food up and throwing it out. Just as they were slowing down eating, I went to get their toothbrushes ready, and when I returned, they had both thrown their food everywhere, in quite a wide radius. Oh no! Even more cleanup for Mommy tonight! Randy was so concentrated on feeding Sammy, he hadn't even noticed. I picked up the food and put it back on their plates. Good thing I wash the floor every night. Then I put the remaining food by the bathtub, and put the kids into the bathtub. Suddenly they were eating again, until nothing was left. Sammy also finished his food in the bathtub. Emmy was rather cranky, and I had to get him out early, before being ready.
Sammy always goes to bed first, and tonight I gave him his dental cream right away, and it worked. He cried a little, but then fell asleep. I never had to hold him. Emmy was suddenly awake again, having had two naps instead of one, and was walking around in his bed messing around. I moved his bed away from the wall and from his brother's bed. Tammy was tired, and actually fell asleep without me sitting by her bed tonight. So I got to prepare my food earlier than usual tonight.
I've already been able to get quite a bit of office work done tonight. Sometimes I do it first, other times after my update, and sometimes before and after. I also got some phone numbers ready for tomorrow. Please pray we find a place where Sammy can go to get his weekly physiotherapy, as the university hospital where he goes now, told us he won't be able to continue there much longer. I also need to make an eye doctor's appointment for him, which is difficult with me sleeping in the morning.
