Last night I went to bed at 3 am, only to get up half an hour later or so, just when I was about to fall asleep, to give them milk. In the morning they woke up at their regular time of 8 am, we fed them, cleaned them, dressed them, and Randy took them downstairs, while I went back to bed.

Right now the alarm on my phone is only vibrating, so I need to look into that, as it's not enough. I still heard it and put the chicken soup on the stove to heat up that I had made last night. The boys then woke up, and we ate just after noon. I mixed a baby jar of potatoes and carrots into it to give it a less liquid consistency, and they enjoyed it.

After lunch I put Tammy to bed, cleaned up, and then joined the boys downstairs. They were playing happily for the most part; we were constantly assessing whether to put them to bed already or not, as we've had afternoons when they would not sleep early any more. I finally went to get Emmy's afternoon jar, and Randy fed Sammy upstairs in the kitchen, away from the sleeping girl. Emmy was clearly tired, even lying down for a few seconds at the time on my chest. After feeding him, it was time to put him to bed. It was about 2:30. He was quiet and about to fall asleep. But a few minutes later Randy put Sammy down, and he was crying hard, keeping Emmy awake and waking up Tammy. I finally gave him some dental creme, and a little while later he got quiet and fell asleep. But then Emmy made his displeasure known. I tried to lie down with him, but that wasn't working, so I finally put him back into bed, and he did fall asleep after a while. Unfortunately it was already rather late, with only half an hour left to sleep.

I fed Tammy her meal, and then we went downstairs to play. I hardly took any pictures today, even though we had lots of fun. At 4 pm I got the boys out of bed, and they also came downstairs to play. Emmy is always pretty cranky after getting him up, but I swirled him around and made him laugh. He's really good at putting shapes through holes, which is much harder for his sister. And they both enjoy books a lot right now. I also showed them an animal video on YouTube again, which they loved watching.

At 5 pm I left them to get dinner ready, and they never want me to leave, crying when I do. At 5:30 they came upstairs to eat. They ate most in their seats, and we took the rest to the bathtub, where they finished it while playing hard. Tammy's black eye is not healed yet, and she's already playing wildly again in the bathtub! Sammy now also finishes his food in the bathtub.

Once they were in bed, the boys got milk, as Sammy requested it, and Tammy drank what Sammy left over. I walked away once, but her crying increased and increased, until I returned. She was leaning over the railing as if she was trying to get out and find me! She lay back down, and I stayed until I could walk away without her noticing.

I got my food ready, ate, then cleaned everything up, before sitting down at the computer to work. Yesterday I talked to Randy about doing something fun together, which we never do, and that Sundays would be good for that, but it didn't happen. And there's not much we can do. We have some games, and we could watch a movie. Tomorrow February starts, and with that the month of Randy's birthday, Valentine's Day and our anniversary, but even if we had a babysitter, restaurants are closed right now and won't open until March. I wished we could have some fun somehow.
